Welcome to the very first issue of my devlog đź‘‹
Q: So… who are you?
I guess it’s time for a proper introduction. I’m the developer behind this project — yes, just one person working on the game.
It’s a big journey, but I’m fully committed to seeing this game through to the end.
Q: What is this game all about?
A bit of backstory first.
I’ve always had two main hobbies: playing games and writing code. About three years ago, I decided to combine them and start building something of my own.
I’ve always been a big fan of survival games — especially medieval ones — and that’s what inspired this project. At the beginning, it was just a game for myself, built the way I wanted it to be.
But now it’s reached a point where I feel it could be interesting to others as well, so I’ve decided to share it.
Your feedback will play a big role in shaping the direction of the game, so don’t hold back — I really value it.
The goal is to create a harsh medieval sandbox experience. There’s still a lot to be done, but it’s steadily moving in that direction.
Q: What’s the current state of the game?
Right now, it’s still an early build.
A lot of core systems are already implemented, but many of them aren’t fully accessible yet — they need balancing, polishing, and proper integration.
If I had to estimate, I’d say the core functionality is around 60% complete, but there’s still a lot of fine-tuning ahead.
Q: When can we expect updates? Any release plans?
Since I’m not tied to a corporate pipeline, I can move fairly quickly.
My plan is to release smaller updates frequently, with more substantial updates roughly once a week.
As for the timeline:
Early Access — around mid-summer
Full Release — towards the end of the year
That’s the current plan, but it may evolve based on development and feedback.
Q: What are you working on right now?
At the moment, I’m deep into crafting systems.
That means creating recipes, assigning required skills, setting difficulty levels, and connecting everything together. It’s a bit tedious, but it’s an important foundation for the game.
Q: Can you explain the core concept of the game?
The idea is simple:
You start as a serf, trying to survive in a harsh medieval world.
To stay alive, you’ll need to work, improve your skills, and gain traits. The more you grow, the better your chances of survival — and the more opportunities open up to you.
Over time, you can move on to more rewarding paths:
take on better jobs
become a trader or artisan
or build your own way of living
Or… you can go the other route.
You can become a bandit — rob travelers, attack caravans, and live fast. Just don’t expect a long life.
You’ll also be able to acquire land and upgrade it, making survival easier and more stable.
But nothing comes for free.
Guards may stop you and check for illegal goods
Bandits might demand their share
A tax collector will visit regularly
And if you fail to keep up… consequences can be severe
You might end up enslaved, sent to the mines or arena — or simply executed on the spot.
Q: What can I do in the game right now?
At the moment, the focus is on survival and exploration.
You can roam the world, gather resources, and try to stay alive.
There are also 4 upgradable bases already in the game — but you’ll need to find them first 🙂
Q: What about skills?
Skills are a core part of the game.
At the start, you won’t be good at much — but you improve by doing.
Sprinting increases your athletics, letting you run longer distances
Using ranged weapons improves accuracy over time (less random deviation, more precision)
The more you use a skill, the better it becomes.
On top of that, there are traits — special bonuses you can unlock through actions or learning.
For example: If you plan to hunt, getting the Tracker trait is a good idea — it helps you spot animals more easily in the wild.
