Patch Notes: Beta v 1.7.0

Friends List

  • Friends list added to the bottom menu panel.

  • Steam friends who have Brawlhalla are automatically shown.

  • You can Join or Spectate friends through this list.

  • Matchmaking games can be Spectated through the friends list as well.

  • Lots more features coming soon including: Chat, Invites, Permissions, etc.

Stats Rework

  • AttackForce bonus increased slightly; Now adds damage on all powers.
  • Attack Speed: Reduces Heavy power charge times and the Recovery time after attacking with powers; No longer reduces time to hit; Now affects movement powers instead of Speed; Sub 5 Attack Speed characters penalized less.

  • Defense: Now reduces incoming damage from all attacks.

  • Speed: Less acceleration, higher top speed; All characters are slightly faster; No longer affects movement powers (Dexterity now does this).

New Map

  • The Enigma is now in and ready for epic brawling.

  • Temporary name and art.

  • Looks kinda normal... wait what the...?

Community Requests

  • When a character is very close to the ground, they will do a ground attack instead of an aerial attack.

  • You no longer attempt to pick up gadgets when an enemy is within pickup radius distance from you.

  • PC controller support for: PS4 controller; Logitech Rumblepad 2; Magic Joy Box 3-in-1 GameCube Controller Adapter; Wii U GameCube Controller Adapter; Saitek 3000 Rumble Force Pad; Mayflash Wii Classic Controller Adapter.

  • Mac controller support for: Yosemite version of TattieBogle (XBox 360 controller).

  • Relaxed the profanity filter a bit. Please don't test it too hard. Pretty please?

Gameplay

  • Dropping through a soft platform only occurs if you hit down after your most recent attack button press (Quick, Heavy, or Throw); This is to prevent dropping through right after attacks complete.

  • If you do a down attack on a platform, when the attack ends, you will not immediately fall through; You have to let up and repress it to fall through.

  • Increased timing threshold for being able to get a down attack off while on a soft platform.

  • Added smoothing to target position on grab powers.

  • Made some changes to the jump physics to make moment to moment less floaty.

  • Ground acceleration increased; Air acceleration decreased.

  • Improved camera smoothness when the camera is zoomed far out.

  • Team colors have been reworked; All teams use their primary team color unless a costume conflict occurs.

  • Throwing Tweaks:

    • Decreased the recover time on throwing by two combat ticks (Down to 368ms).

    • Made it so Dexterity no longer affects thrown recover time.

    • Added a cooldown of 432ms to repeated throws.

  • The Unknown has been renamed to Blackguard Keep.

Art

  • New base art for Cassidy.

  • Revised alternate color schemes to be more pleasing.

  • Artwork pass on roster and skin icons.
