Improved matchmaking to decrease queue times, especially for the highest and lowest ranked players.
Rating is now visually represented by a tier system. Global rank will appear for top 100 players.
Rating is displayed during character selection for ranked players.
Rank and previous match history now display in the match preview screen when queuing for ranked matches.
Community Request
Improved input delay algorithm to more accurately handle larger variance.
The Unknown: In 1v1, players start on either side of the map. Items now spawn on the center platforms.
Improved item spawning logic to get a more ideal ratio of weapons to gadgets.
Powers
- All Neutral Quick standing combosAdded cooldown time between casts.
Unarmed Air Heavy: Hurtbox more closely matches animation.
Unarmed Air Neutral: More consistently combos into the final hit.
- Sword QuickReduced hitbox size. More consistently combos into the final hit.
- Sword Air SideSlightly increased time to hit and decreased Force on first hit. Decreased time to hit and increased Force on second hit. Decreased Damage per hit, but more consistently lands both hits.
Sword Air Down: Rehitboxed to better match animation.
- Hammer SideReduced hitbox size. Increased distance traveled. Speed stat now affects distance traveled. Increased hit window, but Damage and Force decrease sooner.
- Hammer DownAdjusted hitbox. Hits farther forwards but has a reduced hit window. Reduced recover time, added a cooldown.
- Hammer Air SideReduced hitbox size. Decreased time to hit. Hurtbox more closely matches animation.
- Hammer Air NeutralRehitboxed and adjusted animation to make hit area of attack more clear. Increased time to hit.
- Spear Air SideReduced hitbox size. Slightly reduced hit window and recovery time. Added a small cooldown between uses.
- Spear Air DownBrought spear closer to the body and rehitboxed. Slightly decreased distance travelled.
- Katar Air HeavyReduced hitbox size. More consistently combos into the final hit.
- Thatch Clear the DecksHits target upward with initial hit and leaps into the air for second hit. Slightly increased Force.
- Thatch BroadsideReplaced most of the recover time with cooldown. Can attack quickly after firing, but increased time between consecutive uses. Increased Damage.
- Gnash Heavy Rock SlamReduced Force. More consistently combos into the final hit.
Art
Removed a hitch on the miss animation of the Hammer Air Heavy.
Removed afterimage in the sword's aerial dodge animation.
UI
Improved fade in of the Main Menu background animation.
Pause window no longer plays its hide animation during gameplay, to prevent disorientation when resuming the match.
Build version now correctly displays during the character selection screen.
Improved screen transitions.
Performance
Greatly increased client performance during gameplay.
General client rendering performance improvements.
Bug Fixes
Fixed a rare crash that would occur during lobby chat.
Fixed a bug where grabs could treat a missed enemy as hit.
Fixed bug where players could sometimes click the character selection screen's back button after level voting.
Fixed bug causing rare crash when entering the main menu or the character selection screen.
Fixed visual bug with the main platform in "The Unknown".
Moving Platforms no longer move while a match is finishing.
