addedHi everyone, new month more goals to check and set. Last month's goals were:
added[ALMOST DONE] Add VFX to all cards in the initial mecha
added[DONE] Change steam page to reflect the new card design
addedSo, regarding VFX, we did a big job on them and have a bunch to use throughout the game. At least bullet-wise, we haven't yet added much to our existing cards, since we are still figuring out pallettes and overall UI and UX, so we will delay all of that until we have a closed UI.
addedThe steam change is done, and the progression system is also complete. We decided to go crazy and allow the players to actually choose their upgrade on level up! Bounty Fusion will have a Bounty Hunter Rank (BHR). As you win combats and do tasks, you will gain points, and when you level up, you will be able to choose which reward you want, like new mechs, new levels, new cards, new lost techs, more money on combats, etc! Basically, even the meta progress is an option in Bounty Fusion!
changedBesides our goals, we also did a big push on Lost Tech implementation, we did 12 and planned another 30, so by the time we have a demo, hopefully, we will have a bunch of lost techs (Bounty Fusion "relics") ready for you. We also finalized the random event system, and have some ready to be discovered!

  • [DONE] Do the progression system

So, regarding VFX, we did a big job on them and have a bunch to use throughout the game. At least bullet-wise, we haven't yet added much to our existing cards, since we are still figuring out pallettes and overall UI and UX, so we will delay all of that until we have a closed UI.

Now we did not announce the game, but we at least did it and posted on Steam and here XD. We will start our marketing push this month, so get ready to get a lot of insights over at our social channels!

The steam change is done, and the progression system is also complete. We decided to go crazy and allow the players to actually choose their upgrade on level up! Bounty Fusion will have a Bounty Hunter Rank (BHR). June will be a lot about consolidation. We pretty much have a vertical slice of the game (systems-wise) so we plan to march ahead and start adding content and balancing everything out. Our goal for June is to have an alpha worth of content, so:

  • 1 more mecha, its lost techs and deck

  • 2 more bounties implemented (wrapping up the "easy bounties")

  • +20 random events

  • +20 lost techs (4 unique to each mecha)

  • All systems tested and ready

    • This involves a bunch of technical stuff that is complete but not integrated with the actual game like:

      • Meta reward system

      • Combat reward system

      • Cards and Lost Techs unlocks

  • Wrap up UI design language

If we can do this, we are pretty much ready to start doing playtesting, and we can use July to start integrating VFX and SFX into the game, getting it ready for a possible August demo

So, with all the major technical challenges solved, it's time to focus on game design and game content. Be sure to track the updates over at our social accounts!
