Map Features
Added Ruins Feature - can be removed for 50 gold or food to become plains (for placing towers)
Added Scrying Stones feature - choice to get info on nearest treasure, lair, gold or food
Improved exploration interactivity with multiple ‘hint’ mechanics and features leading players to map features eg. flowers/mushrooms, rumors, scrying stones
Procedural generation algorithms to even out map difficulty from path loopiness to map feature distribution.
Sound/Music
Tower attack sounds now have improved variety and simultaneity. Replaced many other sound effects.
Music - Added and replaced many music tracks, and smoothed out transitions
UI
Scout Window - interactive illustrated display of incoming monster wave.
Tutorial - Improved clarity, illustration, scripting.
New button designs and font sets to match the fantasy theme.
More compact UI elements/design, freeing up map display
Main Menu - improved splash screen and icons
Codex - Added illustrated strategy guides
Animated notifications for daily summary, base damage, income and spellcast.
QOL - Added mouse pan/zoom, right-click Escape
Graphics
Tower models & particle effects - all replaced, with separate models/effects for each tower upgrade branch.
Upgraded models for trees, monsters, roads and many map features.
Improved many UI textures (Stats, quest, codex, bestiary, spawn arrow etc)
Towers and Forts now pitch black to indicate destruction.
Miscellaneous
New mechanics - execute, targeting options, spell scaling
Monster wave design - improved variation and distribution amongst paths
Steam Cloud support
Way ahead
SteamNext Fest (Feb 5-12) participation and public Demo
Late-game features - Enchantments, larger maps, more Quest Sets, classes, monsters (new abilities)
