Version 0.4 - Beautified monsters, menus, tower attacks, animations etc.
Changed and upgrade most of the monster 3d models and animations.
Changed and improved many of the tower attack/aura visuals for all 7 towers+paths
New Victory/Defeat summary screen (instead of squeezing stats into Main Menu)
Beautified (inc. adding images) windows for quest, class select, global buff, codex
Added animation and particle effect to “summon monster” spell (cast by monsters)
Added animation for Horde Elites attacking towers.
Made Corpse Explosion (from Stun tower) effect much more obvious.
Replaced Bloodlust visual with spinning red aura particle effect.
Added Particle effect (huge wave) for Sonic Boom
Transferred project from unity 2021.3.23 all the way to 2023.1.17 (2022 LTS was very crashy) to investigate and fix an occasional memory leak warning and crash.
Added hooks for structured testing.
Bugfixes:
Map tooltip no longer goes out of map for tile features at the edges.
Made sure all particle effects (and sub-effects) are configured to ‘Destroy’ on ‘Stop’
Added missing material for ‘Additional smoke’ component of Falling Star particle effect.
Fixed Cannon Shockwave sub-emitter size/range etc
Opening Encounter OR Select Tower windows closes most other open windows.
Slow icon on monster now reappears if slow is re-applied after it drops off.
Tutorial Step 3 (build tower) 1st tower could not be selected. Tutorial completion had no sound effect.
Spell spam tracking properly resets to 0 even after manual exit to main menu at night.
Exiting to main menu during night phase no longer autosaves (instead it autosaves right before night phase). Yes, this does allow limited save scumming.
Version 0.31 - Encounter images, upgrade icon images, blood and HP bar
Beautified Event Dialogue Window - add images, rearranged description & choices, made choice outline clearer, made the event prompts flow more smoothly.
Beautified Tower Upgrade Window - replaced all upgrade buttons with Icons instead of Text, and moved every UI element around to fit the changes.
Added blood splatter to show locations of recent monster deaths.
Shrank monster HP bar display. 25% shorter, 80% thinner.
Version 0.3 - Re-worked tutorial and special effects graphics
Upgraded effects for Falling Stars, Cannonball explosion, elites’ boulder, Poison explosion, Stun Tower, Lightning, Laser
Added tutorial for 1st day of game from camera control to explore to start wave
Removed all day 1 codex popups and made the rest instantly closeable.
Add a random Tip line at bottom of Main Menu screen
Fort attack now requires Day >=24 or (Day >=16 if victories > 0)
Info buttons mouseover tooltips added
Bugfix - Gargantuan, Doom Bat facing wrong way
Spell tooltip adjusted back fully into screen
Version 0.2 - UI Makeover
Re-organized all ‘main map’ UI elements into framed panels on left side of screen
Selected Tower, Bestiary (main and individual monster), Global Effects and Enchantment Shop panel no longer dim + occupy and disable entire map+UI.
Opening codex, bestiary, global effects and quests now auto pauses/resumes the game
Enchantment shop button appears only daytime when Day >= 21 and unlocked by quest
Pan/zoom slowed down, especially when zoomed in. Can no longer pan way off the map.
Upgraded texture for most map tiles and buildings
Enchantment shop (Shop UI only) 85% done.
Added a quit game button in main menu
Beta only: Popup asking player to join discord and give feedback at first victory/defeat screen
Housekeeping - Sorted out Textures and Materials folder into subfolders
