Repeated intro
Hello Hunters!
What changed
- Gameplay
- Compatibility
- Performance
It’s time for a small review of what we have done recently.
We focused on improving Bot Hunter’s storyline that you could experience through the chat with the mysterious contract giver. We felt it was a little bit too plain so we did some brainstorming and formed a complete story with a questline assigned to it. It has much more depth now and it gives meaning to the gameplay. This resulted in the updated Demo version 0.1.
Unfortunately, storyline changes were so significant we had to WIPE THE SAVES… BUT the demo version 0.0 will still be available on its own Steam branch if some of you would like to continue their game there. We’ve prepared a quick tutorial if you had a problem with switching branches.
To change the Steam branch:
Right click on Bot Hunter Demo in your Steam library
Choose “Properties…”
In the Properties window choose “Betas” in the tabs on the left
In “Beta Participation” toggle list choose “version_0.0 - version 0.0” (or “None” if you want to go back to the newest version)
We would also like to remind you that we will participate in the February edition of Steam Next Fest! We will be so grateful if you would support us by checking the Next Fest version of Bot Hunter Demo and share your feedback with us. It is very important as it allows us to maximally improve Bot Hunter before its release in April.
For the other changes:
Adding 2 new weapon magazines: Ripper and Plasma Ball
Improving the enemies’ movement
Adding new attacks for higher levels enemies
Fixing issue with boss HP (due to some earlier NPC spawning optimization, bosses HP didn’t scale with contract level so they were ridiculously easy to kill on higher level contracts)
TankBot movement improvement
Thank you for being here! See you in the next update!
