addedSince the last time you were hearing from us, a lot has changed in Bot Hunter. We managed to give our UI an overhaul. We have added a new death screen, which now shows the loss of items caused by the player's defeat. It also informs the player of the run time and the number of enemies killed. In addition to this, we have completely revamped the Quick Wheel menu and polished the Harbinger tab (i.e. the in-game chat). We also paid some extra attention to making our main menu look presentable by creating a Bot Hunters galaxy’s diorama and adding it to its background.
addedThis diorama can also be seen from the windows of our brand new hero ship that is finally fully functional. There, the player can access the Crafting Station and the Star Map, which is a holo version of Bot Hunter galaxy and is used to browse contracts and travel to different planets.
addedWhen killing bots on the enemy's ship, you may notice that a new enemy has been added. We decided to call it Dragonfly because of its unique design - a dragon’s head and insect’s body. This enemy breathes fire and, like the insect from which it takes its name, can fly. However, we haven’t forgotten our old enemy types - we have given them freshly designed weapons to effectively stop the player from destroying their ships.
addedTo spice up the bot hunting we have added 4 new arenas, experimenting a bit with limiting space to the narrow corridors. We have also added 2 new boss arenas, each requiring the player to take a slightly different approach. But players will also be more powerful from now on, as we have completed the implementation of the Hack System. On the way through enemy’s ships in certain arenas you can see Hack Panels. When you approach them you can select one of two available hacks (i.e. perks) to boost your abilities for the rest of the run.

changedFor those who have made it to the end of this dev update we have prepared a BONUS! Here’s a Bot Hunter’s gameplay footage of the entire run that shows all of the improvements listed above!

But you don’t have to remember all of this now as we have made a tutorial to teach you game mechanics of the game before you get into serious bot hunting. The tutorial includes specially prepared training arenas with tips on each of our game mechanics and its graphic representation if you’re not keen on reading.
