Dear Players,

Today marks the 5th anniversary of Booth: A Dystopian Adventure!

I may not be able to celebrate this milestone every year as I move forward with new projects, but the 5th anniversary feels like the perfect moment to share some announcements.

1. Merch in the Making

The first merchandise I’d like to create is a set of acrylic goods featuring adorable pixel art of the Booth characters—like the ones in this picture!

Usually, only hit games get merch because there’s no point making it if no one wants to buy it. Booth isn’t exactly a blockbuster, but I still want to make these items—simply because I myself want to own them!

I’m still figuring out how to distribute them globally, but for now, my plan is to produce a limited batch and offer them at offline events.

2. A Dystopian Food Trilogy

This isn’t a sequel—but rather something new I think fans of Booth will enjoy: I’m working on a Dystopian Food Trilogy!

Why a trilogy instead of a direct sequel? Two main reasons:

  • I feel Booth already told its story and explored its mechanics to the fullest, so a sequel wouldn't feel meaningful.

  • I still find the combination of dystopia and food deeply compelling—and surprisingly underexplored.

So I’ve decided to build a full trilogy around that theme. Hopefully, it’ll help draw in new players and solidify my creative identity.

Here’s the current status:

  • Booth is the first entry and already done.

  • The second game’s prototype is finished.

  • The third game is still in the concept phase.

My goal is to finish a demo of the second game later this year and officially announce it at a video game event. That said, getting into these events is extremely competitive—especially for a solo indie developer—so even if the game is ready, the reveal may take a bit longer.

In the meantime, I’ll keep working hard and aim to finish the full game by the end of 2026.

3. Follow Me for More Updates

While you're here, please consider following my Steam Developer Page so that you’ll be notified whenever I release a new game.

You can follow me on Bluesky as well if you’re also on it! I share game development updates there in English.

For even more info, check out my Homepage.

That’s all for now!

Being a full-time indie dev isn’t easy, but I’m still enjoying the ride—and I’ll keep making games as long as I can.

Thank you for supporting Booth all these years. See you next time, and happy 5th anniversary! 😊

Love from Iden, GP
