changedWorkshop Support:For now, this is limited to normal books and children's books but has been built in a way that we can open it up to other item types (candy, manga, board games, etc.) in the future. We've put up an example workshop item for those that want to immediately try it out!
changedWorkshop Support:To do so, simply visit the Workshop area here ( https://steamcommunity.com/app/3467040/workshop/ ). Anything that looks interesting to you on the Workshop can be subscribed to which will cause Steam to download it for you, ready for the next time you play. Once you're in the game, anything you've subscribed to and downloaded will be automatically loaded into the game and will be ready for purchase just like any other license or item. Modded items will appear at the bottom of the list as they're loaded after the in-built data so you may have to scroll down to see them.
addedUploading Your Own:If you're on the more creative side (or not!) and would like to try putting up your own Workshop item, we've created a new tool to help do that, make sure everything is set up the right way, and make it as easy as we can.
changedUploading Your Own:This tool is called the "Bookshop Simulator Workshop Tool" and can be found in your Steam library already if you filter for Tools or search by name. You will need to create the textures you want in outside programs but this will allow you to fill in the necessary data, verify it, and upload it. We've provided template files for you to understand how the textures are laid out and what parts are where which can be accessed by clicking the "Open Template Folder" on the main menu in the tool. We'll be putting a more thorough guide up shortly walking through the tool itself for those interested.
addedQuality of Life/Fixes:We've included a few Quality of Life improvements with this build as well, including new settings for autosaving, new settings for the stocking helper outline, app sorting persistence, and more. There's also several fixes as usual.

Workshop Support:

For now, this is limited to normal books and children's books but has been built in a way that we can open it up to other item types (candy, manga, board games, etc.) in the future. We've put up an example workshop item for those that want to immediately try it out!

To do so, simply visit the Workshop area here (https://steamcommunity.com/app/3467040/workshop/).

Uploading Your Own:

If you're on the more creative side (or not!) and would like to try putting up your own Workshop item, we've created a new tool to help do that, make sure everything is set up the right way, and make it as easy as we can.

This tool is called the "Bookshop Simulator Workshop Tool" and can be found in your Steam library already if you filter for Tools or search by name.

Custom Books:

To be clear, this is not the Custom Books feature that we've been teasing on the main menu. That is an in-game option that is intended to be easier for people and will be coming shortly as we've been working on that simultaneously. This is opening the door for creators to create their own fully custom books and share with the community.

Quality of Life/Fixes:

We've included a few Quality of Life improvements with this build as well, including new settings for autosaving, new settings for the stocking helper outline, app sorting persistence, and more. There's also several fixes as usual.
