addedWe hope you all had a good holiday break and are ready for the new year! The team is back from the two week holiday break and we've been hard at work on the second part of the cafe update. We didn't want to have you guys wait too long for an update though, so we've gathered together a smaller update to tide you over. Update v0.8 includes new books, Portuguese language support, performance upgrades, and some Quality of Life and bug fixes as usual. A full change log is at the end of this update.
addedNew books:Seven new books have been added and will be ready for you to unlock.
addedPortuguese (Brazilian) language support:We've had a few people requesting Portuguese language support and we've gone through and added Portuguese translations! If you'd like to switch your language, there is a reset language button in the Settings menu that will have the language choice popup on the next restart of the game.
addedPerformance upgrades:We've spent some time improving the memory handling for the game. We'll be switching more things over to use the better system in the future but for now we've moved over music, sound effects, and the levels themselves to use the new system. The practical benefit is decreased memory usage through the game.

Added:

  • 7 new books

  • Portuguese (Brazilian) language support

  • Outline shown for carried boxes to help locate placed stock

  • Notification for autosave

Changed:

  • Memory performance improvements

  • Game should no longer hang for a long time during quitting when using the quit button

  • Improves accuracy of the menorah

  • Movement now exits register

Fixed:

  • Genre not being localized in certain places

  • Prevent being able to steal back cafe items from customers

  • Alley legendary display box showing incorrect number of legendary books available

  • Owned legendary number will decrease properly on selling legendaries

  • Cafe customers will now use tables again

  • Loaded cafe customers should retain state and order properly

  • Cafe checkout slots now disabled between customers to prevent incorrect placement

  • Books'N'More app now closes to the tablet instead of completely
