changedThe latest demo update (version 0.86.13) contains some great improvements for helping to target enemy aircraft, and an aiming assistant mode to make it easier and fairer for players using controllers. The target lead indicator has no impact on your score, however the aiming assistant will reduce your score by 25%. Both these options are configurable from the mission briefing screen so give them a try and let me know what you think about them.
changedIn addition there's also a number of great improvements based on player feedback:
addedMachine gun bullets now have a random spread which makes them look better, and has the side effect of making it slightly easier to hit the targets.
addedNew messages have been added to indicate when you hit or destroy an enemy target.
changedI've increased the aircraft pitch rate to make it easier to turn and loop.
fixedFixed the smoke effects for the player aircraft that were playing in local space instead of world space.

In addition there's also a number of great improvements based on player feedback:

  • Machine gun bullets now have a random spread which makes them look better, and has the side effect of making it slightly easier to hit the targets.

  • New messages have been added to indicate when you hit or destroy an enemy target.

  • I've increased the aircraft pitch rate to make it easier to turn and loop.

There's also several minor bug fixes:

  • Fixed the smoke effects for the player aircraft that were playing in local space instead of world space.

  • Added extra checks to prevent the game controller haptics (vibrations) continuing during a weapon reload.

  • Fixed an issue where AI aircraft were sometimes not following their flight plan.

  • Improvements to the AI aircraft turning when being pursued to remove some of the unnecessary pitch changes that were making it hard to stay on target.

Finally I'd like to thank everyone who provided feedback, either here on Steam, or on other platforms, it's been absolutely awesome and I really appreciate it, and I feel it's make a huge difference to the game. Feel free to keep posting your feedback and I'll see what I can get done. I've already got some further changes planned for the very near future which I think people will like, so keep watching to find out what they are.
