Block Fortress 2 changes
We've been listening closely to your early feedback, have been testing all day, and hope we have addressed some of your biggest issues in this first update, including improving the in-game economy, balance issues, bug fixes, and more. We think this will be an impactful update with lots of quality changes. Increased ore mine and drill production from +15 to +20 per attack
Increased gold earned in early attacks from 50 to 100, increasing to a max of 150 by attack 20 (note that you still earn additional gold from collecting coins off dead enemies)
Earn an additional +10/20/30 ore after each attack, based on your barracks level
Goblock Elites now reduce 90% of attack damage from the front, with damage capped at a max of 10% of their starting hp (e.g. even the most powerful attacks will require 10 hits to kill them from the front). Also, the angle of incoming attacks that gets blocked by their shields has been reduced, allowing more attacks that originate from higher up and from the side to hit with full damage. The hit test for attacks from your character is much more accurate now, allowing attacks that aren't aimed directly at their shields to hit with full damage. They are now much easier to take out with accurate aiming or a powerful defense (even if your turrets attack their shields), and as such, their native armor has been increased to level 2. We appreciate all the feedback and will keep monitoring this unit for balance.
You can now remove environmental blocks in survival mode at a cost of 5 gold per block
Ore deposit blocks are no longer destroyed when a mining block is destroyed
Reduced .50 caliber turret cost from 30/50 to 50/20
Reduced hellfire turret cost from 40/120 to 40/60. Added 6-second slow effect on hit
Reduced zapper turret cost from 15/15 to 10/10
Adjusted melt gun turret cost from 0/80 to 20/60. Also added/fixed its attack effect
Plasma gun turrets can now be built on barracks level 1. Also reduced their cost from 80/0 to 60/0
Reduced cost of the electro gun equipment from 20/220 to 120/40
Increased cost of laser turrets from 70/10 to 70/20
Increased despawn time for gold dropped by enemies from 30 to 60 seconds
Reduced collector equipment unlock level to tech level 26
Reduced grapple hook equipment unlock level to tech level 36
Drastically increased collector bot collection radius (from 3 blocks to 12)
Drastically reduced damage to blocks by the underground monster on planet Jericho
Fixed a bug where you didn't earn XP after beating an attack on a completed survival area
Removed camera movement bobbing when camera shake is turned off in the options
Fixed a bug where after unequipping diving suit you could still have its effects active
Fixed a bug where the Fortify mod would keep increasing your barracks' hp after each attack
Fixed a crash that could happen when undoing blocks in certain scenarios
Fixed a crash that could happen when viewing the map screen
Fixed a crash that could happen when a flamethrower turret died
