Beyond The Heavens changes
It's been a while since this game's been last looked at and updated.
So I'll get right into the changes for this update as there's a lot!
Updated to Unreal Engine 5.1
Fixed the Player ship hitbox being much bigger than the ship itself, it's now as originally intended which is a square in the center of the ship
Fixed swarm missiles not homing in on boss targets
Fix for a rare case where the player and camera does not resume moving forward after stopping to clear out enemies
Fix for framerate adjustments not working properly
Fix for not being able to properly select the correct window size in settings
Added Lumen and Ray-Tracing toggle options
Changed the look of bonus points, health and super item pickups
Fixed an issue where sometimes after a cutscene into ends, the camera view will be set to be looking forward from the player ship location rather than looking from the top down
Mars surface map updated
Jungle map updated
Desert map updated
Hell difficulty on all maps now has more spawned enemies than before
Fix for controller rumble activating while previewing weapons
Fix for camera shakes not working correctly
Fix for settings not being saved in some cases
Tweaks/updates to camera shakes
Tweaks/updates to controller rumble
Added Discord Rich Presence, showing of current level, score and time elapsed while playing a level
Fix for ship gaining more speed with each evade, it's now clamped to a fixed amount regardless of direction
Fixed cancelling out speed gained from evading when going in the opposite direction
Fix for weapon stat bars showing incorrect values
Fix for minigun having gaps while fire during preview
Fix for ship effects not occuring while evading
Fix for the laser super not firing in some cases
Combo voice lines have been added and played when certain combo levels have been reached
Minigun bullet volume reduced and will reduce further after a certain time of continuous fire
Fix for the player not getting full control in some cases when unpausing
Fix for a rare case where the player ship can spin out of control
Fixed some cases where the camera bokeh/DOF will not apply correctly
Fix for sounds and music volumes not being set correctly when starting the game
Fix for the Jukebox skipping audio tracks in the background constantly when the music volume is set to 0
And many, many more changes, updates and fixes not to mention general performance and stability improvements!
