changedWe’re so happy to wrap our first beta weekend and look ahead to the next. We intentionally started small for the first weekend, with just a few hundred players in North America given access. This coming weekend will see us invite players from all over the world. This will help significantly with match sizes and get a lot more of you into the game and giving us your feedback!
changedMore dynamic Kaiju fighting. Kaiju battles provide a lot more freedom of movement now and we’ve made improvements to nearly every aspect of fighting. Let us know what you think!
addedNew Map. Wharf now joins the mix. Steer clear of the water and make use of all-new ziplines and cranes!
changedPvE & PvP game modes. We heard a lot of feedback from players preferring different types of modes, so this weekend we’re launching both PvP and PvE versions of various game modes. Pick the appropriate server and let us know what you like (and don’t)!
addedHuman Customization improvements. Many improvements made across the entire Augmentation Suite. Check out the new presets!
changedWeekend Two kicks off on Friday, a little bit earlier in the day this time. As mentioned above, we’re also opening up the Closed Beta to more players in more regions. Players will now see Europe and Asia servers online, and don’t forget you can now invite up to 2 of your Steam friends as well!

Your thoughts from our first weekend were heard loud and clear, and have led to some direct changes coming this weekend and the next;

  • More dynamic Kaiju fighting. Kaiju battles provide a lot more freedom of movement now and we’ve made improvements to nearly every aspect of fighting. Let us know what you think!

  • New Map. Wharf now joins the mix. Steer clear of the water and make use of all-new ziplines and cranes!

  • PvE & PvP game modes. We heard a lot of feedback from players preferring different types of modes, so this weekend we’re launching both PvP and PvE versions of various game modes. Pick the appropriate server and let us know what you like (and don’t)!

  • Battle Arena. Now selectable from the Deployment Menu, you can play immediately as a Beast against friends, the CPU or by yourself and just level the city for fun.

  • Human Customization improvements. Many improvements made across the entire Augmentation Suite. Check out the new presets!

Weekend Two kicks off on Friday, a little bit earlier in the day this time. As mentioned above, we’re also opening up the Closed Beta to more players in more regions. Players will now see Europe and Asia servers online, and don’t forget you can now invite up to 2 of your Steam friends as well!

WEEKEND TWO DATES:

Starts: Friday, May 15th at 12:00pm EST / 4:00pm UTC

Ends: Monday, May 18th at 10:00am EST / 2:00pm UTC

PLAYABLE MODES:

Tutorial - Learn the ropes of controlling a Beast in this single player tutorial experience.

Battle Arena - This Beasts-only mode lets you play versus friends or the CPU. Start the mode by yourself with no CPU and level the city for fun!

Hazard Pay (PvE) - Scientists need to gather important data on wild Beasts. Find them, help them collect their data, and return them to safety.

Beast Brawl (PvE & PvP) - Make the city your dominion. Link with a Beast, then take down and keep down the enemy Beasts to win.

Colony Purge (PvE & PvP) - A team-based scenario where players compete to locate and eliminate hidden Brute nests and lay claim to the city.

PLAYABLE BEASTS:

Horned Lizard

Mandrill

Bull Shark

NEW CONTENT & FEATURES:

  • Wharf map added.

  • Battle Arena mode added.

  • Push-to-Talk voice chat added. Voice Chat now defaults to Always On - use mic mode option to change to Push to Talk or set to Off. Push-to-talk defaults to the V key.

  • PvP Servers. Experience a rotating assortment of Beast Brawl and Colony Purge in PvP configuration.

  • PvE Servers. Experience a rotating assortment of Hazard Pay, Beast Brawl and Colony Purge all in PvE configuration.

  • New enemy type! The scout spider is smaller and faster with less health.

PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENTS & FIXES:

  • FSR3 is now implemented for graphics cards that support it. See in-game graphics settings for further control.

  • Added a driver warning on startup if you are not using the most recent driver. We have identified some performance issues related to out-of-date drivers and this should help.

BEAST IMPROVEMENTS & FIXES:

  • It flies! Look out for the Bat, dude. We still don’t recommend playing as the Bat just yet though.

  • Adjusted how Kaiju combat works. Beasts now have a lot more freedom to move and attack during battle. Try out strafing and fighting without needing to wait on the opponent.

GAMEPLAY IMPROVEMENTS & FIXES:

  • Improvements to vehicle physics.

  • Improvements to kill cam & kill attribution. You’ll have a better idea of how you died now.

  • Reduced frequency of Hazard Pay in game mode rotations to match frequency of other modes.

  • Players can now swap weapons while sprinting & interacting. (Thanks @Ryvarn, @Mr. Inquiry, @Ortepus Mordred, & @KuroShino!)

  • Various improvements to rumble on controllers.

  • Various improvements to game audio special effects.

  • Various UI improvements throughout every menu.

  • Adjusted camera angles on Augmentation Suite based on player feedback.

  • Various map improvements with fixes for misplaced props and roadways.
