📢 Battle Titan: RAINBOW – Exhibition Report & Development Update

Hello, this is the developer of Battle Titan: RAINBOW (BTR).

Reason for Delayed Updates

In December, I participated in two consecutive indie game events in Korea.

As a solo, part-time developer, I focused on booth operation, bug fixing, and exhibition preparation,

which delayed development updates.

Recently, BTR was showcased at two small indie game exhibitions, where the game was presented to both user groups and the general public. During the exhibitions, the game did not freeze or stop, though several bugs were discovered and are currently being fixed.

Notably, Steam Deck performance proved to be very stable.

Exhibitions

Korea Indie Game Showcase

  • Small indie event held in Pan-gyo City

  • 35 games, 3-day exhibition

  • Feedback-focused sessions with user groups

Beaver Rocks 2025

  • Indie exhibition hosted by [Smile Gate]

  • Held annually since 2022 with a high selection bar

  • 85 selected indie titles

  • Strong exposure to general audiences

  • Intro scenes were shown on a large screen

Exhibition Results

  • Arcade mode fully playable from Stage 5 to Ending

  • One crash during 24 hours of Steam Deck play (not caused by the game)

  • CPU ~35%, GPU ~40% usage, stable 60 FPS

  • Player skill levels ranged widely from Easy to Hyper

  • Three difficulty levels planned

  • Strong positive response from the target audience

  • → The game has reached commercial-quality vertical slice level

Key Feedback

  • This game is not casual or all-ages (by design)

  • Boss battles received the most feedback

  • Difficulty perception varied greatly

  • Many experienced players requested very high-difficulty boss fights

  • The mixed vertical/horizontal STG rule set was well received

Going Forward

Operating the booth alone as a solo developer was exhausting and required recovery time.

However, positive feedback from the core target audience removed my remaining doubts.

Development has now entered the phase of final content production and repeated testing,

with a planned release in late 2026.

I’m sorry for the long wait, but at this stage, compromise is no longer an option.

Thank you for your patience, and I wish you a wonderful end of the year.
