BALANCE CHANGES
SYSTEM
When playing rock Batomon, it can feel like too much of a matchmaking coinflip if you run into Poison teams or not.
Poison no longer ignores shield.
Currently, shielding has a problem where shield teams want to stall but status effects naturally scales the longer the battle goes. Shield is getting resistance to status to counteract this.
Damage from status effects now deal 30% less damage to shield.
BATOMON
Currently shield Batomon are underperforming, especially in the early game, so they're getting some slight buffs.
Pebbler
Cooldown 5.5 -> 4 seconds
Cost $15 -> $10
Tortress
Shield 200/400/600 -> 250/500/750
Craghorn
Damage gained on item used: 10/20/30 -> 15/30/45
Aegistruct
Aegistruct + Draconarch was already decent, so it's getting a preemptive nerf to offset the buff to the shielding mechanic
Cooldown 7 -> 8
Geminiss
The multiplicative scaling isn't very healthy, even though the Geminiss itself wasn't that good due to how slow it is. So, I'm changing the mulitplier from its ability to be additive (which means consecutive casts are much weaker) but making it faster and the buff bigger to offset the change.
Changed the shield multiplier buff to be additive rather than multiplicative.
Cooldown 12 -> 10
Buff to adjacent ally shields: 50%/100%/150% -> 100%/200%/300%
Venopuff
This is currently the strongest common Batomon in the first few rounds.
Poison 5/10/15 -> 4/8/12
Puffloon
This change mostly aims to make leveling up Puffloon more attractive. It also takes advantage of permanent buffs better this way, which is needed since currently, poison does not scale well into the late game.
Multicast 1/1/1 -> 1/2/3
Poison 1/2/3 -> 1/1/1
Heal 10/20/30 -> 10/10/10
Thorntail
Thorntail is underpeforming at all stages of the game even despite poison team's good early game.
Damage buff on poison inflicted: 3/6/9 -> 4/8/12
Cobrex
Poison teams are underperforming late game, so Cobrex is getting a small buff.
Cooldown 20 -> 15 seconds
Shock teams are overperforming at all stages of the game, while being very flexible and consistent to build. Most of these are getting slight nerfs
Joltail
Shock 5/10/25 -> 4/8/12
Ironcore
Cost $30 -> $40
Humbolt
This thing is still problematic since it trigger shock damage extremely fast while having decent shock application itself.
Shock 5/7/8 -> 1/1/1
Damage 1/1/1 -> 30/40/45
Galvanine
Scales too quickly into a fight with charges from Dracana/Ironcore.
Cooldown 7 -> 9 seconds
Saberhorn
One of the main culprits that's causing late game fights to end insanely fast.
Cooldown 6 -> 8 seconds
Cooldown increase on cast: 6 -> 8 seconds
Dryadell
Dryadell is very much overperforming in the late game.
Cooldown 4.5 -> 5.5
Zephyrex
Easy access to multicast is letting stuff like Plunderbird and Humbolt run over teams late game.
Cooldown 9 -> 11
Primsagon
Seems to be decent, but very unpopular, so it's getting small buff.
Cooldown 5 -> 4.5 seconds
Mosslug
Does not consistently carry early game, so it's getting a cost reduction to make it more attractive as a tempo pick up.
Cost $15 -> $10
Boomagon
Slight cost increase to further accentuate the tradeoff of losing more early in exchange for scaling when playing Boomagon.
Cost $30 -> $35
ITEMS
Purple Gift
Very frustrating to get VIP Pass out of this item if you still need commons or uncommons.
Will no longer give VIP Pass
TRINKETS
Metronome
Damage buff on cast: 20 -> 10
TRAINERS
Chef
Currently the trainer with the highest average wins by a decent margin. He's not very popular so may be biased towards more experienced players, so just getting a small nerf for now.
Burn buff: 3 -> 2
BUGFIX
Fixed level 4 Wishwash's ability not having an effect.
Fixed a bug where if a monster got fire typing from Chef's ability, and then transformed into a monster that does is not mono-type, it would still keep the fire typing.
Fixed a bug where if you had multiples of the Ancient Plume trinket, only around half of them would trigger at once.
Fixed a visual bug where when you gain the Market License trinket, the shop rank gained is not immediately reflected in the UI.
