How light transforms the entire scene
The same scene.
The same assets. No changes to models or textures.
Two versions:
before: “PS2 vibe”,
after: “PS5 vibe”,
The difference? Lighting only.
In the first version, everything is flat and evenly lit — clear, but lifeless.
In the second, directional light, shadows, and contrast add depth, mood, and focus.
The exact same location starts telling a completely different story.
Takeaway:
lighting isn’t a “final touch.”
It’s one of the most important elements shaping how a game feels.
