Preparing for v0.2.0

Recently I’ve been pushing development really hard. The game’s name has already been finalized, and I’ve set it to public though there’s still a promotional video left to make in preparation for launch.

Recently I’ve been pushing development really hard. The game’s name has already been finalized, and I’ve set it to public though there’s still a promotional video left to make in preparation for launch.

It feels like a big leap in development. Going from v0.1.3 to v0.2.0 took almost three years.

Thinking about it now, if the game is playable during development and the developer keeps adding new content over time, it wouldn’t be a bad thing. When old players return, their saves could still be supported by the updates. Most players prefer continuing with their old save files while getting new content to play.

I’ve also split the map into two parts: the player’s home area and the main village. In the future, the interiors of NPC houses will be loaded separately, which shouldn’t cause any issues.
