changedThis update I've been working on trimming down the background workings of the game and the sizes of all the prefabs, streamlining everything down to run smoother and prevent frame drops and such. It's not all there yet and I still need to knuckle down on some proper graphics settings for the game, but some progress is better than none and the game does run significantly better now!
addedAlso there's some Christmas themed skins for the characters, who can now ALL be viewed in the bonus menu and not just Dayne. Alongside this, whenever the game is played in December all of the crate textures are now swapped out for presents and the trees are made more festive. A full Christmas horde map has also been added, where rather than ammo spawning around the map it rains ammo crates from the sky!

Draugr > Removed 1 Animation Quad

Rabid Draugr > Removed 2 Animation Quads > Removed 'Muzzle' Object > Narrowed all death animations to one prefab

  • Halved amount of objects in Exploding Barrel prefab - MotherBloats now have an instant explosion chance when shooting their lower barrel - Crates turn to presents during December now - Trees change to Christmas trees during December too - Enemies no longer spawn additional flesh clumps when shot with the SMG - SMG Bullets now use Object Pooling instead of Create/Destroy to reduce frame jumping > I'll likely be doing this with all the weapons / bullets but it'll take a bit - Lowered blood amount when chainsawing certain enemies - Changed the hand icon on the scanner doors to the punch-fist icon to better communicate how those work - All enemies have been given 0.01 seconds of i-frame after taking damage to prevent some collision issues - Drastically reduced general amount of blood particles spawned - Lowered ember emission amount from fire effects - Halved the Max Texture size of all level floor/wall textures, because there was little to no difference anyway > Did this to every GOR (gore/blood) FX too

WEAPON CHANGES - Buffed the PK-B0W max upgrade - Hitting frozen enemies with plasma makes then explode now - Prevented pulse shotgun from going into minus ammo count - Put a 0.1 delay on the flame DMG effect for Explosions, to prevent collision contradictions - At some point during my bug fixing, the chainsaw seems to have nerfed itself?? ok I guess > Chainsaw damage has been buffed specifically against the Panopticorpse though because it's fun

SETTINGS AND JUNK - Fixed the stupid grey square cursor not working

CAMPAIGN CHANGES misc - Added 'Poison Mode' campaign modifier

episode1 act1 - Removed arena lock-in walls (p2) - Crammed a skrunkly somewhere (p3)

episode1 act2 - You no longer pass through the railway tracks and out the map... they still kill you though (p3) - Fixed some signs that were backwards for some reason (p3)

episode1 act4 - Added an invisible barrier to stop players entering Christine's personal space (p2)

ENDLESS MODE CHANGES - Added horde map 'Christmas' - Dayne in the Horde menu can be swapped for either Zeph or Alyssa now

COSMETICS - Santa Dayne (Auto-Unlocked) - Elf Zeph (Auto-Unlocked) - Elf Alyssa (Auto-Unlocked)
