Honour Among Thieves Major Update
The first major update for Band of Brigands is here! Featuring a new quest system and new powerful elite cards as a reward for completing the quests!
Will you honour the common quest with your fellow brigands or become a sly saboteur for your own gain? The choice is yours!
Version 1.30 Changelog
New Features:
- Quest System: At the beginning of each game, every brigand will have to choose a quest, that will also become active for every other fellow brigand. The progress for the completion of the quests is shared among all the brigands and upon completion, every brigand gets a powerful reward.
- Reward Cards: A new set of unique cards have been added to the game with game changing effects! Upon completion of a quest all brigands can select one powerful unique card per quest completed.
Gameplay:
- Added coins required to win UI indicator.
- Added an abstract visual representation of how much coins a player has gathered.
- Hidden the value of coins that every other player has gathered by default. (This is a game option that can be turned on / off in the game options).
Design Note: We believe that this design decision will create more tension between the players and change the dynamic of the gameplay leading to more fun opportunities (acting upon incomplete information, rather than concrete decision making). This also give more opportunities for players to bluff and play the social aspect of the game more strategically.
- Reduced the transparency of the input hints to make them more discreet.
- Discard Card mode now toggles off at the end of a players turn
Adjustments:
Invoker:
- Telekinetic Shove AP cost reduced to 2 (was 3).
Vagabond:
- Javelin Throw damage increased to 1d4 + 2 (was 1d4 + 0).
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed an issue when targeting an action over UI and click it would still let that action play through.
- Pressing ESC during a target selection action, now correctly cancels it.
- Pressing ESC now correctly toggles the “pause panel” on/off.
- Fixed a few issues when exiting a game session, which will result in a more stable experience.
- Fixed issue with invoker’s barrier SFX not being affected by SFX volume mixer.
- Fixed issue when sometimes animations would make characters face the wrong direction.
- Fixed issue when sometimes using a basic attack as a first action would hang the game.
- Added timeout timer on failed to complete Feedback FX.
- Fixed issue where the main menu buttons would be clickable before the intro sequence finished.
- Fixed an issue where multiplayer clients would not reset their discard card limit between turns
- Fixed issue with input hints always trying to fade in
- Fixed an issue where an error would be thrown when exiting back to the main menu during an online session
- Fixed an issue where during the tutorial dialogue keyboard shortcuts were active
- Fixed issue that sometimes when a non-host client disconnects, it would cause AI behaviour to crash
- Fixed an issue in graphic options UI that would display the wrong resolution value
