Bait & Tackle changes
We’ve been spending a lot of time combing through more nuanced balancing feedback; whether it is through watching people play on Youtube & Twitch, from our reviews, discussions, or people talking to us directly, we wanted to smooth out some of the rough edges people have encountered!
Changelog
Bosses
Fixed issue causing Mini Minnow to break out of its fatigued state during tutorial dialogue.
Adjusted the boss timer feature to pause during dialogue.
Fixed issue causing the last frame of the Bubble Popping animation to sometimes be present for the Minnow Bosses during their fatigued state.
Added the dust particle effect to the tail hit of the Bass Bosses' Jet Stream Attack.
Raised the SFX volume of Bigger Bass's Lunge Chomp attack to bring it more in line with the boss's other attacks.
Adjusted Sword-Saint Swordfish's Jump Spin attack hitbox to properly reflect the animation. This caused the hitbox to become active slightly too early.
Fixed issue causing Sword-Saint Swordfish's Horizontal Spin attack to have extra hitboxes above the tornado.
Replaced the arrow that denotes when the Goldfish Bosses are off screen with the correct arrow to match other bosses.
Adjusted the hitbox on the base Goldfish Boss’s Jump Flop attack to reduce how long it lingers.
Fixed issue causing the Goldfish Bosses to sometimes sink into the ground while not in their final phase.
Adjusted the hitbox on both the Goldfish Bosses’ Bowl Smack attack to reduce how long it lingers.
Fixed an issue causing the base Goldfish Boss to use the superboss variant's hitbox data for its Lock On Spiral attack, causing it to linger significantly longer than it should have.
Fixed issue that caused the Goldfish Bosses to occasionally be underground while fatigued in their final phase.
Decreased the health of each superboss by 7%.
Levels
Fixed issue that caused the bottom slanted platform of the ship in the Shipwreck level to have its collision extend past where it visually ended at the leftmost side of the level, allowing players to visually float in the air.
Game/Saving
Settings now load when the game is booted instead of when loading a save file. This fixes an issue where a save file would need to be loaded to reflect changes to audio volume settings.
Fishing
Fixed an issue where fish streaks 6-10 did not increase the rates of 5-star fish as intended. This should be a slight improvement to fish star ratings during these fish streaks.
If the player has not registered the Megalodon Pup upon defeating The One That Got Away, its appearance weight is increased until it is registered.
After defeating The One That Got Away, a new rerolling formula is used for catching fish that increases the odds of encountering higher star fish, especially from fish streaks 9 and greater.
Accessibility
Fixed a typo with the word “Accessibility”.
