As a result, we’ve added a new boss, with a superboss variant, a new area, new music, and new fish to catch! We’re adding optional mid-game content to give you guys more of the game you love!

Boss Updates

> Added a new, optional, mid-game boss fight: Sensational Starfish.

> Added Showstopping Starfish, the superboss variant of Sensational Starfish.

> These bosses come with unique music, animations, movesets, sfx, assets, and more!

> Fixed the shading on the “Fish ‘Em” text for some bosses.

Levels

> Added a new optional area on the map, with a unique travel line to denote its optional status.

> Added the Estuary level.

> The Estuary has a unique tileset mixed with our dock tileset to give it a striking appearance.

> The Estuary has a brand new audio track to go along with it, and is perfect for some calm fishing.

> The Estuary has unique fish to catch that cannot be caught in any other levels.

> The Estuary is home to two new bosses, the Sensational Starfish and its superboss variant.

> The Estuary has new dialogue for everyone’s favorite seagull.

Fishdex

> Added seven new non-boss fish for the Estuary area.

> Each new fish has unique fish facts and brand new sprites.

> Added both new Starfish bosses to the fishdex, also with unique fish facts.

Achievements

> Added an achievement for catching all non-boss fish in the Estuary: A Star-Studded Cast.

> Added an achievement for catching Sensational Starfish: Twinkle Twinkle.

> Added a hidden achievement for catching Showstopping Starfish: The Show Must Go On.

> Updated existing achievements to include the new fish and the new bosses.

> Your existing achievements (Baited, Tackled, All Fin-ished., and To Bait & Tackle) will not be taken away due to the newly added requirements, but the existing achievements will require the corresponding completions from the new area going forward.

Gameplay

> The fishing line no longer immediately lands in the water if the player is in deep-enough water and tosses their line upwards and outwards.

> The fishing line trajectory preview has been tweaked to more accurately depict the trajectory of the hook when cast.
