Axial Rift continues to make great progress in many areas! These include the underlying custom game engine, enemies, npcs, player controls, the level editor, level designs, and more! Below is a list of the kinds of things that have been done since the last dev log about 2 months ago:

  • Progress on level designs

  • Improved navigation pathfinding for all enemies

  • Improvements to enemy AI behavior

  • Improved NPC behavior

  • Added support for unique meshes/textures for each NPC

  • Improved player aerial attacks and made controls more intuitive for them

  • Added new sound effects

  • Level editor improvements, especially for the gamepad control scheme

  • Improved multithreading data handling

  • Many performance optimizations

  • Many bug fixes
