Autonomica changes
We’re working on a new resource sorting machine for Autonomica called M.A.M.A. (Matter Allocation & Management Array.)
Basically, M.A.M.A. becomes the main brain of your storage network.
You’ll be able to walk up to M.A.M.A., deposit a bunch of resources from your inventory into it, and M.A.M.A will figure out where everything should go.
The science is very simple. Very safe. Probably.
When resources are stored inside M.A.M.A., the machine breaks them down, scans their molecular structure, and creates a resource blueprint. That blueprint is then sent through the Data Cable to the correct Smart Storage Box that are going to be connected to M.A.M.A via DATA cable.
Once the right box receives the information, it reconstructs the resource and adds it to the stack of similar items already stored there.
So if you already have stone in one box, copper in another, crops somewhere else, M.A.M.A. will know where each resource belongs and send it where it needs to go via DATA network.

Smart Storage Boxes will also be highly customizable. You’ll be able to choose the main box color, name each box, and even see the resource distribution process on the screen when M.A.M.A. sends materials into it.
You’ll also be able to access those resources, remotely, while crafting through M.A.M.A.’s local wireless network.
This means you won’t always need to carry every resource in your inventory. If the resource exists somewhere in a Smart Storage Box connected to M.A.M.A., nearby crafting stations will be able to pull small amounts from the network when needed.
You come to M.A.M.A., deposit your resources, DATA takes it to the Smart Boxes.
You worry not.
Still early, still experimenting, but this system should make storage, sorting, and crafting feel way less annoying while still keeping everything physical, connected, and part of the world. Concepts are ... well highly conceptual. Still very much WIP.!
