addedNow, we’re aware of several bugs and unpolished stuff discovered during last week, some less severe than others. We’ve been working hard this weekend to bring you a patch that should fix almost everything we’ve been reported on, as well as some new additions in response to your feedback.
addedAdditions : ● You can now fast reset a level by holding the “pause” key/button, instead of having to go to the pause menu and hitting restart. This also skips the level intro, making it way faster to retry levels. ● Dialogs can now be skipped over by holding the “confirm” key/button, entering a fast-forward state. ● You can now close the pause menu pressing the “back” button when playing with a controller. ● Some easter-eggs have been added to the Blossoming Forest hub. 👀
addedChanges : ● Lostlight Caverns has received a small overhaul. Although the level layout has remained 99% untouched, more decoration has been added to make it look less bland when the crystals are lit. Regarding this, the crystals’ light duration has been slightly increased, while more subtle light sources have been added to make the level traversal less “blind”. ● Subtle layout change in the Blossoming Forest hub, mainly switching Forest Glade and Deep Roots in place. ● Several other subtle layout changes responding to feedback. ● Times have been adjusted for most levels, to better balance the requirements for each medal. Gold medals in the hard levels of each world (the ones unlocked through the puzzles) have been tightened, as some of them were “pretty easy”, considering the harder nature of the levels themselves. ● Crash Site (the tutorial) has received a small change that requires making a double jump to continue, as some players didn’t catch it only through text. ● Crash Site can now also be skipped through the pause menu. ● Dialogs have received a big cut in quantity and length in the first 30 minutes of playtime, including the intro cutscene, the tutorial and the arrival to the Blossoming Forest. ● The “Open Atlas” prompt when near the hubs’ stone now appears much faster. ● Slight changes to the leaderboard view so you can find yourself easier. ● The final boss fight now shows a prompt during the “clash” phase so it’s clearer what to do. The first phase has also been made easier and less frustrating, with less attacks from the boss. ● God Mode now stays for the whole game session when turned on (unless manually turned off, obviously)
fixedFixes : ● The scene loading system has been completely reworked, this fixes several errors, such as getting a black screen when retrying a level or having cutscenes repeated. (Presumably) ● The camera system has been changed, now fixing lots of errors regarding the camera following you out of bounds or it getting stuck in place, among others. (Presumably) ● Steam Cloud is now supported (Presumably) ● The Boreal Peak puzzle achievement is working now. ● The final boss fight has received several fixes, such as the level disappearing and having lag/stutter during certain parts. ● Current settings are now always correctly shown in the menu. ● The aspergillum shooting and logo sounds have been lowered. As well as some other sound balancing issues. ● Medal times of 1 minute now show correctly, instead of “00:60.00” ● Removed a repeated hint for the Blossoming Forest puzzle. ● Geodesic Vertex ending flag now shows correctly ● Some typos and dialog errors have been fixed ● Opening the Atlas, unlocking a new biome and selecting it now properly display sound effects. ● Small fixes regarding the leaderboards ● Minecart collisions with Lostlight Caverns’ crystals have been fixed ● Game Speed slider correctly shows current values in settings ● You can no longer go out of bounds in the Blossoming Forest hub 👀
fixedFuture updates : ● We’re not sure if Steam Cloud has been fixed or not. If it’s the latter, please let us know on our Discord server so we can dwell on it. ● Some minor bugs regarding chromatic aberration and other vfx. ● Level selection is something we’ll work on for the next big patch, as it’s a complex system we could not include here. ● We’ll probably make it so you can see how much you’ve climbed through the leaderboards in the results screen, but we’ll see how it’s done. ● The possibility of exporting ghost racers has been brought up, but we’ll need to see how to do that, or if we even end up doing it. ● We’re open for community translations if anyone’s interested (dm us through discord).
