Some exciting news to help round off February 2026...
AToM - 1974 Demo Out Now
It's been 4 weeks since AToM - 1974 - launched on Steam!
In celebration of this fact, you can now grab the free Encode Demo for Steam (PC). This demo will let you play the full Encode mode and will save your best level and score. You'll find a shiny new Download Demo button on the games store page:
What is AToM - 1974?
AToM - 1974 - is a morse code training toy. The device aims to teach you 36 x morse code characters from the international set via level, score and time-driven arcade-styled gameplay.
How-to-Play Encode Mode
Encode is the OG game mode and the one that's unlocked from start-up. You'll use the space bar on your keyboard to input morse code dots and dashes by tapping or holding respectively. The aim is to translate the given series of alphanumeric characters into their equivalent [morse] components. Example below:
As you input correct and/or incorrect answers, the manual will auto-update and clues will be provided. Correct answers will mask the associated character in the manual: incorrect answers will unmask them whilst also providing clues that hint towards specific and/or similar answers.
What's Not Included
Decode and Transcode modes are not included and you'll be unable to unlock achievements. You should, however, be able to learn all morse code letters and numbers using the Encode Demo alone. If you've never tried AToM before, I appreciate all of your help and support: all comments and feedback are very much welcomed. If you're keen on achievements and additional modes, check-out the full game.
