What changed
- Gameplay
Hey everyone!
It's time for the monthly full game update! Steam post image (One Pizza Drink for you)
Since the last update, we've been working on making major scenes for the game's third area, as well as the area's wild bacteria enemies.
Basically, progressing through the third area.
Now, the area is divided into two parts. Part 1 is almost finished. All that remains is completing two rooms and the rest of its gameplay elements.
If you divide development progress into percentages, we probably made the most progress in terms of percentages in the last two months while keeping the same quality.
Now that most of the game's systems are in place, progress is much quicker.
Something nice is we're putting a lot of emphasis into any part we can, without forgetting the NPCs!
MUSIC UPDATE
I wanted to wait until we had a few tracks I felt really proud of before talking about the music again.
So yeah! I know many of you have been waiting to hear about the soundtrack, and we're making good progress there too. There are still many tracks left to go, but I'm really glad the music is being created alongside the game.
In the next devlog, I’ll share a sneak peek from the soundtrack. I haven't found a way to include music directly in these Steam update posts yet, but I'll make sure to find a smooth way for you to hear it by then.
Going back to the game...
It's really awesome to see how well the game's ribbon items work with the battle system. I'm happy with how the gameplay is turning out.
Now, almost any screenshot I try to pick from the third area reveals too much to my liking.
I really enjoy making these devlogs, and I'll keep making them until the game is released, but it’s important for me to draw the line somewhere so I don't reveal too much.
So you may notice me being more restraint with what I show for the time being, but I'll keep showing small sneak peeks as always!
And besides, the most important part of these devlogs is keeping you updated on how the game's development is actually going, rather than only sharing sneak peeks, even though I know it can be more exciting to see the progress than to just read about it.
Thank you for supporting Astromeda, and I will see you on the next development update! ❤️
