Ashen Sky changes
We have fully transitioned to the Steam launcher. Due to simplified registration for us, the resolution of certain legal issues within the Russian Federation, and the ability to now organize cache downloads directly through Steam before entering the server, we decided to abandon the standalone launcher. You can link your old accounts simply by launching the game from Steam and clicking the corresponding button. If you encounter any difficulties starting the game or the launcher, please contact me via DM. However, a response may take some time and might not be given on the day of launch. I am slowly putting together an FAQ with the most common startup issues and their solutions.
The declension mechanism for item names, mobs, and character nicknames has been updated. Declensions are now handled much better, although they are still not perfect (which is hardly achievable at all, considering the complexity of our "great and mighty" language).
Evasion has been slightly buffed.
Zhaba (Toad) has received visual updates for both his icon and the shop itself.
The Arafatka (Shemagh) received +1 to filtration, and 7.62x39mm Armor Piercing rounds now cost 1 point per 1 piece in the loadout.
Added an indication that a person is standing up on their feet.
Crows now fly away to sleep for the night, returning only in the morning.
Instead of the "Settings" tab in the right-side stat panel, a full-fledged escape menu has been introduced via the "ESC" key-all existing settings, including hotkey and sound settings, have been moved there. Additionally, an "Exit Game" button has finally appeared in the game. After 7 years of development...
Added a display for the experience gained during the last run. It will start working after your first run on a slot following this update.
Updated the cursor icon.
The heavy breathing sound for low stamina in humans has been replaced; this sound is now audible within a 2-tile radius to everyone.
Campfire sounds have been changed to higher quality ones, and their positioning has also been improved.
Rain sounds have also been updated, including the rain itself, wind, and thunder. Inside buildings, you can now hear the sound of drops hitting the roof.
And as usual, many other various bugfixes and further improvements to the project's sound component.
