Patch 1.006 - 06/08/2026

Bugs Fixes:

  • The Hub's Gear Trader has been fixed. (The tutorial text was in the way of selecting items)

  • When you teleport back to the Hub, the TP portal now correctly says which Region it leads back to.

Testing new Features:

  • The Map and Minimap of the first 3 regions now black-out un-walkable areas so it's more obvious what is unpassable terrain. In the future I'd like to add clearer unpassable environment objects (and possibly redo a bunch of the regions completely).

  • To improve performance I'm testing out a new Engine feature which effects Shadow Rendering (which is one of the most expensive computations). It has been implemented on the first two regions and has shown up to 20 fps improvements on some of my test-pcs.

Other:

  • Substantial back-end changes. As I continue working on Multiplayer, as outlined in the previous post, I'm making substantial back-end changes, such as how players and regions are loaded. You may notice different load times or load sequences than before.

  • There appears to be a bug with Dynamic Resolution where it disables itself in some regions and turning it back on in the Settings panel will NOT work. It has happened to me in the live Steam build but never in the Engine so it's a tough one to crack. I'll upload a fix as soon as I find it.
