Fellow Vikings!

First of all, thank you for your patience. And secondly, no, we have not abandoned the game. Over the past couple of months we ran into a few particularly tough nuts on the coding side. That unfortunately kept us quieter than we wanted to be. Some of you might know the drill of developing games in your room, lights off, completely locked in, trying to make everyone happy. :D

The good news is that we are back on track and today we are dropping the first regular update of the year, with more updates already planned.

Here is what this one brings.

Enjoy the Update

Thank you so, so much for your continued support. We will keep our heads up and aim to deliver updates more steadily and frequently from here on out.

A short FYI about the well-known issues:

We're aware of the issues surrounding the Warpaint system and want to sincerely apologize for the frustration this has caused.

While investigating the problem, we discovered several underlying security issues in the way Warpaints were being saved. Because of this, we’ve decided to completely rewrite the saving system—not only for the Warpaint feature but for the entire game. In rare cases, these issues could also lead to progress loss outside of the Warpaint system.

Unfortunately, implementing this new system will require another progress reset.

Since we are getting closer to the end of Early Access, we’ve decided to introduce this change with the 1.0 launch. Version 1.0 will add new mechanics that require players to progress through earlier content again, so a full reset at that point ensures that everyone starts from the same place.

Of course, players who supported the game during Early Access will receive special rewards as a thank-you gift for being part of the journey.

Once again, we’re very sorry for the inconvenience and truly appreciate your patience and support. We hope you continue to enjoy the game!

Until next time.
