changedHeya fellow Asfalians,We've done our best to bring you a game without bugs, but our best wasn't enough and some of those cheesy vilains managed to sneak through the gaps. Fortunately, we've been watching many streams and looking at comments from reviewers and on our discord server, and we've been paying attention.

Heya fellow Asfalians,

Asfalia: Fear was released two weeks ago and we've received a lot of positive feedback so before anything, a great big "thank you" for taking part in this great adventure within Charlie's world of emotions.

We've done our best to bring you a game without bugs, but our best wasn't enough and some of those cheesy vilains managed to sneak through the gaps. Fortunately, we've been watching many streams and looking at comments from reviewers and on our discord server, and we've been paying attention.

So what's been fixed exactly in this update:

  • Kniferatu no longer takes all the attention to himself when you go back to the crypt from the Isle of Greywing. He might have something to say, but at least he won't block the game in doing so.

  • In some specific cases it was possible to fix the drone in Echo Town twice, resulting in an incorrect chip count and an empty 6th drone. Media asked Pi to spin some solution, and he did come around and solved this pesky issue.

  • If you have a controller plugged in, and start playing ghost invaders, you will no longer lose control of your ship.

  • The speed of the cursor in Lily's minigame no longer approaches lightspeed in some circumstances. And we also added a dynamic difficulty adjustment that kicks in after a few seconds, so it's never too difficult to beat it.

  • It's no longer possible to get the speedrun achievement in the forest just by going back to the playground after Charlie arrives.

New features are brewing

We've had some requests for some much needed features and we agree that they are important. We're working on them, and we'll also make sure they're properly validated before we release them, so please bare with us. But it's coming in a not far future.

  • Controller support: we're still in the process of figuring out the right approach for controller support, but we've found some promissing answers to this complicated puzzle.

  • New languages: The whole game is being translated (text only) to Brasilian, Japanese, German, Spanish and Russian. We have to validate the translations but it's nearing completion.

  • Windowed mode: Ultra wide screen users, muti screen users, streamers, we heard you. Windowed mode is coming !

  • Photosensitive option: Some players like to play in the dark, and those big flashes can be painful. Even more so if you have photosensitive epilepsy. We're adding a feature to turn white flashes into black flashes.

Did we forget something?

We're doing our best to do what needs to be done, but if your feedback is the best food for change. One could even say, it's delicious!

So don't hesitate to let us know with a review or by popping by on our discord server.
