In our last post, we covered the global content of the demo. Today we’re taking a deep dive into your crew.

To survive vertical walls, sudden blizzards, and the psychological weight of the peak, you’ll need a team that can handle the strain. The game will feature a highly flexible team of 9 classes, allowing you to mix & match, or even duplicate roles to build the perfect expedition.

Here is a closer look at 5 of them, their personalities, roles and skills.

The Highlander: The Unstoppable force of nature (Available in the demo)

  • Appearance: Big, burly, and massive. The Highlander is a stocky giant with long arms, instantly recognizable by the patches of fur worked into his rugged winter gear and climbing claws.

  • Traits: He possesses the raw, heavy strength of a grizzly bear combined with the stubborn tenacity of a wild boar.

  • Role: Strong and powerful, the Highlander holds the center of the climbing chain as the literal anchor of your group. He specializes in sustaining effort over brutal terrain, shrugging off stamina penalties, and physically lifting or shifting other team members to safety when a route collapses.

  • Main Skills:

    • Flask: Single-Use to recover all Stamina.

    • Heavy Pick (base passive): Climbing pick destroy blocks

The Scout: The Agile Trailblazer (Available in the demo)

  • Appearance: Slim, wiry, and built like a gymnast. She travels exceptionally light, carrying absolutely zero dead weight to ensure every leap looks effortless and calculated.

  • Traits: She moves with the spring-loaded physics of a grasshopper, the wall-running grip of a gecko, and the sudden explosive bursts of a startled frog.

  • Role: The Scout optimizes your team's mobility across all terrain types. She is your forward eyes, built to scout ahead into the fog of war, retrieve dropped gear efficiently, and secure the safest routes during high-stakes approach or retreat phases.

  • Main Skills:

    • Grappling Hook: Moves to any free block within rope range.

    • Light Pick (base passive): Gathering refills the first action

The Sapper: The Chaotic Demolitionist (Available in the demo)

  • Appearance: A walking testament to a lifetime of terrible decisions. The Sapper is a battle-scarred figure, burned, limping, and sporting permanent injuries alongside visible, makeshift prosthetics. He moves with an uneven, heavy step, but his hands are dead steady when handling explosives.

  • Traits: Eccentric and chaotic. For him, nothing is more beautiful than an explosion, even if it places him in harm's way.

  • Role: The Sapper is your path-clearing demolition expert. Loaded with powder-based firearms, makeshift explosives, and volatile ammunition belts, he uses long-range area-of-effect attacks to neutralize hostile creatures and obliterate blocking hazards entirely. If the mountain won't give you a path, he'll blast one open.

  • Main Skills:

    • Grenade: Throw a grenade in a range area. Knocks back all characters by 1 and reduces their Stamina by 1. Will also make blocks crumble and surface cracks.

    • Compressed Gas Cartridge (base passive): Explosion reveals the fog of war

The Botanist: The Mountain Apothecary (Available only in Early Access)

  • Appearance: Easily spotted by his overflowing satchel of hand-picked alpine plants, a harvesting sickle, and rows of clinking glass vials filled with freshly brewed remedies.

  • Traits: Calm, the scent of incense he emanates brings comfort to those climbing by his side.

  • Role: As the group's dedicated medical expert, the Botanist harvests mountain flora to heal wounds and strengthen his companions right on the slope. His deep bond with nature allows him to craft life-saving remedies, grant valuable endurance and survivability bonuses to party members, and even gain the support of plant-based allies to help secure the ascent.

  • Main Skills:

    • Herbal Medicines: Restore one stamina to any ally and cure the Poison status on them.

    • Medical Incenses (base passive): At the end of turn, restore one stamina to an adjacent ally.

The Pathfinder: The Tactical Commander (Available only in Early Access)

  • Appearance: Upright, commanding, and projecting total calm control. Her stance radiates readiness.

  • Traits: She possesses the sharp, calculating gaze of an eagle and the unwavering vigilance of a hunting falcon. Pragmatic, courageous, and loyal to the core, she has a quiet strength that instantly draws others in.

  • Role: The Pathfinder confidently coordinates every action on the vertical face. Her mere presence inspires her allies, boosting their overall effectiveness and determination when the terrain gets steep.

  • Main Skills:

    • Horn: Blow in her horn to motivate and give back an action to a targeted ally.

    • Gathering Gloves (base passive): Gather more resources on harvestable elements in camp.

Their traits, backstories, and internal traumas will dictate exactly how they handle the descent. Choose your crew wisely, the peak does not forgive mistakes.

As we are developing the game, this information is still very much a work in progress, some adjustments and changes might occur and the final build might differ from what is brought to you today.
