Greetings!
It has been months of silence since our last update post, but we would like to announce that we have begun development of Artificial Extinction 2!
As stated in some other community posts, a full rewrite of the original game would be necessary to bring the game to it's fullest potential. The sequel will keep the best features of the original game but will add many crucial elements and depth. We listened to your feedback!
A few of the improvements will include a much broader array of Mech based enemies, both in appearance and skills. For instance, you might encounter a Railgun Mech, Gatling Mech or a Tesla Mech to name a few. They are smarter and will operate on their own logic system, each having their own strengths and weaknesses.
Along with a more comprehensive variety of turrets and enemies, we also want to further the strategic aspects and depth of the game. With a comprehensive Tech Tree, you will have many decisions to make to play the game however you choose. Do you want to hunker down and defend? Aggressively occupy larger terrain and expand instead?
Of course, we are still very early in development. We will talk more on other aspects of this game, such as terrain generation, and the more sophisticated and expanded features in the coming update posts.
