Howdy! With this update (0.1.8) we add a much-requested feature: you can now play with mouse and keyboard, or a PlayStation controller! The whole UI now adapts dynamically (and beautifully, I might add!

You will find it in the default player inventory on a new game, and for returning players, it is also dropped by the first boss (Smelter Saw Mk-1), so no way to miss it.

With this update (0.1.8) we add a much-requested feature: you can now play with mouse and keyboard, or a PlayStation controller!

Another feedback we received is that it is sometimes hard to remember what your circuits do - for that reason, we introduced a new HUD mod, called “Inputs HUD”. You will find it in the default player inventory on a new game, and for returning players, it is also dropped by the first boss (Smelter Saw Mk-1), so no way to miss it.

For our beloved returning players, this is a slightly smaller update than the previous one, but we really wanted to have it out before the holidays (🎅), so you can try it out while we focus on what’s coming next…

Adds:

  • Added Keyboard and Mouse mapping, logic, icons, and UI;

  • Added Multishot logic and stats to existing mods (max limit of 100 projectiles per shot);

  • Added new dual-stat mods: Strained Offense, Spoiled Bloom;

  • Added two decimal values to numbers in UI below 100 for better calculations;

  • Expanded logic to allow mods to have both global (player) and local (circuit) effects.

  • Changed disclaimer in Title menu about the controller (from “Required” to “Recommended”);

  • Changed size of Circuit fonts;

  • Renamed HUD into “Basic HUD” to accommodate for different HUD mods;

  • Renamed Health Gain/Drain into “Heath Rate” to improve readability;

  • Moved player inside boss room, boss wakes on being hit;

  • Changed Smelter Saw loot to include all new mods;

  • Changed Player starting inventory to include Inputs HUD and Pause mods.

Balancing:

  • Removed negative stats on Permadeath Remover.

Fixes:

  • Fixed bug with speed not affecting speed of projectiles;

  • Various improvements to text descriptions;

  • Various graphical fixes.
