SAVE FAILURE RECOVERY SYSTEM
Some people have reported minor save file failures in the Discord server. While your in-game achievements wouldn't be wiped, some other progress would seemingly be loaded into a new game state and
There is now a special sequence that happens if you boot up the game while Ark has 0 rooms and 0 battles, but you have the achievement of collecting Jeneral Jeorge. This sequence will take a look at many important achievements and set several major variables that handle both progression and chains of achievements.
Even if you don't have a save failure, the game has a smaller set of conditional branches that will make sure your game's progression is kept up with where your in-game achievements suggest you should be.
CHAPTER 6 BOSS GENERAL REWORKS (SPOILERS!)
So, Dark Side has been through a whole lot of development turmoil. Its bosses have gotten changed around several times, and right now, it's in an okay spot, if not a bit tedious and boring. The goal of this update is to make the Dark Side bosses have a more dynamic fight alongside adding some difficulty.
At the beginning of each Dark Side's boss fight, all party members besides the leader will lose their ability to use Attack. They will gain a new skill called "REPENT" that will seal their Skills, Magic, and Prepare as well, but give the entire party a multi-hit burst move that costs HP. For each ally that repents, a riskier but more rewarding version of this burst move will be learned.
Each boss (except GLUTTON) is now immune to Slog and Acid.
This should add a lot more strategy on how you deal with both going against the bosses generally and how you manage coming into Dark Side. Stocking up on items and healing equipment is generally preferred to the raw damage/speed output that the rest of the game's meta focuses around.
Future patches will likely have to touch these up more, but this should generally be a much better place for them to be in.
CHAPTER 6 BOSS REMAKES (SPOILERS!)
GENERAL'S:
MOTHER used to just be a nothing boss. She has now been given a unique mechanic: She will pacify Jeorge's allies, thus stunning them. When she does attack, she will apply Dark Scarecrow status effects with simply damage ignoring blades. The only way to say Jeorge's allies from the status effects are using his skills on them.
She has been redesigned this way to better counter Jeorge's overall moveset: No matter how high Jeorge tries to stack his defense, it never make a difference. The optimal strategy is to utilize counters to your benefit and bring elixirs for ability cooldown.
MERCHANT'S:
GLUTTON was pretty broken before this patch. She's gotten a completely new design because of that. She will target the ally with the lowest HP, instantly killing them most of the time. This is very dangerous because if the party leader dies in a Dark Side fight, the fight is instantly over. Whenever you hit GLUTTON, you will also automatically get Farmer's Greed, which now seals all gold-related skills.
Upon starting the fight, Jr. will learn two gold-cost skills: Poison Soup and Feed. Feed will stun GLUTTON temporarily but heal her 5 HP. Poison Soup will temporarily stun an ally and send them down to near-death. These are both tools that can be used to direct GLUTTON elsewhere. She is also the only boss that acid can be used on; GLUTTON will do self-damage and become enraged.
The new design is made to make Junior have to balance between sacrificing her teammates to stay alive while healing them to have them do damage, as Junior attacking directly will cause her to have to Focus the Farmer's Greed away.
