Arkansas 2025 – Demo Version 2.3 Now Available

I’ve just released a new demo update for Arkansas 2025, now at version 2.3. This update focuses on improving gameplay feel, polishing visuals, and making a number of changes based on feedback and testing.

Here’s what’s new:

Gameplay & Controls

• Improved camera controls – the camera no longer moves diagonally.

• When aiming a weapon, a red crosshair cursor now appears to clearly indicate your target.

World & Visual Updates

• Updated the entrance to Clearwater:

  • Added a barrel near the gate

  • The guard now stands on the left side holding a shotgun

  • A “Clearwater” sign has been placed above the entrance

• Updated the appearance of Barnabas

• During the fight at the gas station, the roof above the pumps now disappears

Characters & Story Changes

• Barnabas’ wife has been replaced with his son

• The doctor in Clearwater now gives a quest to collect cactus flowers instead of roots

Creatures & Items

• The fruit previously known as Mutapple has been renamed to Kalumo Fruit

• Cactus areas with flowers no longer spawn large scorpions (Goldraxy); instead, you will encounter 3 wolves

System & Feedback Improvements

• When picking up items, the console now displays what was collected

• Fixed various smaller bugs and issues

I’m also excited to announce that the full version of Arkansas 2025 will be released on April 24th, priced at $4.99.
