Stellar Log 4: Plan for Milestone

This game has come a long way, including the recent renaming and brand new key art and trailer. I wanted to say again that I'm very grateful for such an opportunity and surrounded by good friends and acquaintances.

So let's get into this monthly dev log!

As said earlier, this game has been renamed from Ark of The Kosmoz to Ark Odyssey, mainly due to the difficulty in spelling when introduced to new people. So getting a new name is the most obvious thing to do.

Ark Odyssey seems like a good name because we are still keeping the Ark while Odyssey seems like a good word to pair with it.

So as of the event, I'd like to mark this as a first milestone in the journey of making this game!

Now the next milestone would be featuring the game in the Steam next fest coming this October.

This is not going to be on a scale of roadmap or anything. Still, I'd like to list of things that I'd like to put in the next fest demo.

  • Level zone variant, unlocking new zones with increasing difficulty.

  • New fire theme level, something like Plasma Star, an enemy that deals thermal damage.

  • More in-depth enemy design for both new and old levels.

  • Some hazards events that affect both allies and enemies.

  • New starships and artifacts with interesting synergy.

  • Chaos system that adds more randomness to each stage.

  • And finally, a controller support.

After saying all that, due to personal reasons. I'll be busy for the next 2 weeks or so. Thus, the progress would slow down and there won't be new updates for a while unless some bug fix patches.

But after that, we will be back in full force, so expect massive new content for the next demo on the steam fest!
