In the past week, I've increased my inner circle of testers a bit. Thanks to you, I've gotten a lot of good feedback for changes and bug reports. Once again, I want to thank all of my testers for playing the game and sharing their thoughts! I'm looking into implementing a little system in the future that could enable me to give you (the pre-beta testers) a little something special for your efforts!

Because I've spent this weekend fixing those bugs and changing stuff based on your feedback, I've had little time to look into networking. Let me tell you though, changing to Mirror and Steamworks is probably not even going to be that hard. More on that in the future though! Let's go through this week's changes:

Bug fixes

  • Disabled the takeover option on conversion-locked nodes that you already own

  • The percentage buttons in the Factory now work as expected when the build cost for units is 0

  • The tutorial dialog box no longer softlocks the tutorial when you press escape instead of 'Confirm'

  • Removed a mysterious ticking sound (By pausing the timer in local games correctly when your game is paused)

  • Replay files should now also capture the state after the final round of the game (Hopefully. Please let me know if they don't)

  • Fixed an issue where a node's canvas would fall behind its sprite renderer after a certain number of nodes were placed on the board

  • The 'save replay' dialog now rejects filenames with invalid symbols

Changes

  • Added a 0% production button for Factories

  • Added a target indicator for incoming artillery fire

  • Added a target indicator for incoming warps

  • Sped up animations significantly (Please let me know what you think of this change in particular)

  • The 'confirm' button in Factories is now disabled if you're not building any units

And finally

I still have some more ideas and potential changes / features that I want to implement. An achievement for completing all tutorials for example, as a tester suggested. The highest priority right now though is changing the networking implementation from NGO to Mirror, and Relay / Lobby to SteamTransport and Steam Lobby. I'll still fix bugs in the meantime, of course.
