Archon Soul Balance Update

We finally got around to setting up the custom data viewer for the analytics we collect in-game (and as always a huge thanks to the folks that have analytics enabled, it's a big help).

addedWe finally got around to setting up the custom data viewer for the analytics we collect in-game (and as always a huge thanks to the folks that have analytics enabled, it's a big help). This allows us to go more in-depth into the combat and encounters data, rune and spell selection, and what winning and losing runs look like at the end of the run.
changedUnfortunately the analytics for the spells was messed up, so not much we could glean from that, but this update fixes that error so we should have more accurate data for spells moving forward.
addedIn addition to the balance changes below, we added a button to the pause menu for submitting bug reports, as the current feedback form is unsuitable for that purpose. The bug report button takes you to a form on the PolyGryph website, and allows you to attach a screenshot or video.
changedPierce Armor unit ability has been made more powerful
changedReplicator has had it's HP reduced, but damage increased.
changedBladed Dancer has had it's HP reduced, and it's unit ability countdown has been lowered by 1

We finally got around to setting up the custom data viewer for the analytics we collect in-game (and as always a huge thanks to the folks that have analytics enabled, it's a big help). This allows us to go more in-depth into the combat and encounters data, rune and spell selection, and what winning and losing runs look like at the end of the run.

The rune and dice body information was really interesting, and we are looking to dive more into that in the future. However since for the demo version many of the runes and dice bodies are locked, the data set is too incomplete to make any adjustments there. Once we have a more holistic view of the runes and dice bodies we'll look into the data further. Keep an eye out for the playtest announcement!

In addition to the balance changes below, we added a button to the pause menu for submitting bug reports, as the current feedback form is unsuitable for that purpose. The bug report button takes you to a form on the PolyGryph website, and allows you to attach a screenshot or video.

Run win % was much lower than we'd hoped, and looking into the combat data revealed some huge balancing issues in many of the regular combats, and some less egregious issues in the boss and elite combats. Here is a general breakdown of the changes:

-Pierce Armor unit ability has been made more powerful

-Tiny Ogre has been made easier.

-Armored Rat has been made easier.

-The Punch Wizard has been made slightly easier.

-Hexbeast has been made slightly more difficult.

-Punch Warlock was an absolute pushover, so he was made more difficult.

-Spellmaw has been made easier.

-Replicator has had it's HP reduced, but damage increased.

-Armored Homonculus has been made easier

-Spellmite has been made easier

-The 3 Luck feeders combat now only has 2 Luck Feeders

-Luck Feeder has been made slightly easier

-Bladed Dancer has had it's HP reduced, and it's unit ability countdown has been lowered by 1

-Golden Armadillo has been made slightly easier.

-Thorned Demon has been made easier.

-Arena Hero has been made slightly easier.

-Writhing Slime was a huge pushover, so it was made more difficult.

-Demon of Misfortune has been made slightly easier.

-Ogre Husk has been made easier.

-Orb has been made easier.

-Trickster has been made easier.

-The Sacrifice has had it's HP reduced.

-Chaos Mass has had it's HP reduced and damage slightly increased.

-Deathless One has been made more difficult.

-Volatile Being's Slimelings have had their damage increased.

-Volatile Being has been made more difficult.

-Origin of Sickness has been made easier.

-Avatar of the Soul has had their damage reduced.

We also changed some of the names of the combats to more accurately reflect their current buildout, as well as added an additional combat to the combat pool in Area 3. As a result, the update is not compatible with current run save data. This will not affect your win percentage in the collections stat screen.

Thanks for playing the demo!
