Quite a lot of the game is spent in this screen, so I really wanted to make it much easier to use. I also noticed that sometimes new players wouldn't even realize they had faces and dice bodies to add to their dice because they were in another tab that you had to click on, so hopefully this improves the new player experience as well!

Gotta draw the line somewhere, after all.

Dice Modification Screen Redesign

The dice modification screen has been redesigned for a better and more streamlined experience!

Now instead of having to flip through face, rune, and body tabs to figure out your dice build, it's all on one screen! Quite a lot of the game is spent in this screen, so I really wanted to make it much easier to use. I also noticed that sometimes new players wouldn't even realize they had faces and dice bodies to add to their dice because they were in another tab that you had to click on, so hopefully this improves the new player experience as well!

You may also have noticed something to the right of the modification area...

Dice Modification Undo

This has been a pretty heavily requested feature, so here it is! While a dice is in the modification slot, you can undo any face, rune, or dice body changes made to that dice! Just be aware that once it's removed from the slot, those changes are permanent. Gotta draw the line somewhere, after all.

Shop Screen - Restock

You can now refresh/restock spells, runes, faces values, and dice bodies in the shop! A few changes had to be made to accommodate this change:

  • There is one less option in the shop for spells, runes, and face values

  • One of the uncommon rune slots in the shop is now a 50:50 chance to be uncommon or common

Other Quality of Life / UX Improvements

  • You can now click on a dice to modify instead of having to drag it into the dice slot during dice modification

  • You can now reroll items in the shop

  • In the combat rewards screen, clicking on an already open reward type will no longer reopen the menu

  • On the top UI bar, clicking on the runes/spells/dice menus again while they are open will close them instead of reopening them.

  • Spells now come before dice modifier rewards on the combat rewards screen

  • Omni dice will now spawn reminder text that it cannot be modified if you try to modify it during dice modification

Balance Changes:

  • Demon of Misfortune base attack damage: 20-24 -> 18-22

  • Demon of Misfortune scales very quickly past turn 10 in order to help prevent situations where the player cant kill the Demon and the Demon cant kill the player.

  • Volatile dice body effect changeDuring dice modification, face values and runes added to this dice will be randomized to a different face value or rune. This change was made to give more use and versatility to extra face values and runes you may have that don't align to your current strategy.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where fonts would sometimes lose their outlines when the font or language was changed. This should greatly help with readability for accessible font styles and non-Latin character based languages.

Misc

  • Improved performance for text materials

  • Added SFX to Spore Shroom's unit ability

  • Updated bestiary texts for Spore Shroom and The Sacrifice

As always, I'm keeping an eye on the analytics to help improve balance, and an eye out for feedback to help improve the game (so feel free to leave your thoughts in the community discussions)!
