ARC Aquarium changes
The Multi-Tank Update
Your aquarium just became four aquariums. This update adds multiple tanks, offline earnings, weekly goals, booster packs and 14 new backgrounds — plus a rebuilt progression curve so the full collection lasts.
Multiple Aquariums
Unlock up to 4 separate tanks from the new Tanks tab in the store
Each tank keeps its own fish, decorations and background
Switch between tanks instantly from the bottom bar
Move fish and decorations between tanks whenever you like
Each tank has its own fish capacity, so a new tank genuinely means more fish
The Showcase tank is a display case: it holds your whole collection, and fish there never get hungry or sick and it never gets dirty
Offline Earnings
Your decorations now keep earning while the game is closed. Come back to a"Welcome back"summary showing what you made. Previously, being away only meant hungry fish and a dirty tank — now there is something waiting for you.
Booster Packs
Two packs — Freshwater and Reef — each give 3 random fish for less than buying them one by one. Species you have not discovered yet are more likely to appear, so packs help complete the collection instead of handing you duplicates.
Daily & Weekly Quests
Three small daily goals and one weekly goal, shown in the top-right corner. They reward EXP, and there is no streak to lose — miss a day and nothing breaks. The list hides itself once everything is done.
Fish of the Week
Every week one species is featured and sells for +75% once fully grown. The same fish is featured for everyone, so it is worth comparing notes.
14 New Backgrounds
The background collection grows from 9 to 23, and all of the existing artwork has been redrawn at full resolution.
Share Your Aquarium
Upload a screenshot of your aquarium to the Steam screenshots section. The nicest 5-10 aquariums, chosen by players and by us, will be added to a"Best Aquariums"gallery inside the game, credited to whoever built them.
Progression Rebalanced
We simulated thousands of playthroughs and found that the entire 125-species collection was being unlocked in around 7 hours — content meant to last for weeks. Levelling has been retuned so the full collection now takes roughly 150 hours to complete, with the early game left fast and rewarding.
You keep your level. Nothing you have earned is lost — only future levelling is paced differently
Quest rewards no longer let idle play outpace active play
Booster packs and decorations now scale properly into the late game
Quality of Life
Fish species descriptions are now translated in all 23 languages
The next species you will unlock is always shown, by name
New achievements for discovering 75 and 100 species
Notifications moved up to line up with the rest of the interface
Fixes
Fixed a roughly one-second freeze every time you bought a fish. The store was re-scanning the entire scene for every card
Fixed a rare bug that could corrupt your save. Changing the interface colour rewrote the save file unsafely — this is now atomic and backed up
Fixed the "Buy 100 fish" achievement being impossible to earn, and the fish-bought counter never increasing
Fixed dialogs occasionally attaching to a fish and drifting across the screen
Fixed long dialog text being cut off
Fixed decoration income and store prices disagreeing
Thank you for playing, and for every report and suggestion — several of the items above came directly from your messages.
