Arbeiter changes
Last night we hit the button and opened Arbeiter’s Steam page. Feels a bit surreal, because this project started with nothing more than a few of us saying, “let’s just try it.” No budget, no big plan, just a handful of friends volunteering our time to make a game about workers, survival, and solidarity.
What about Anomalistic Revolution?
If you’ve been following us for a while, you might be wondering: “Wait, what happened to Anomalistic Revolution?” Don’t worry, it’s not cancelled. Some of us are still animating and developing things for that game right now. A couple of teammates are splitting their energy between both projects, which has been tricky but also fun.
Arbeiter isn’t meant to replace Anomalistic Revolution. It’s something that grew naturally alongside it, because we wanted to tell a different kind of story, one that’s grounded in everyday struggles.
So, what is Arbeiter?
In Arbeiter, you’re a worker. You earn wages, try to keep hunger and stress under control, and decide whether to just survive day by day or to organize with others and build real power. It’s about balancing the grind with the bigger picture, and about asking what changes when people start fighting not just for themselves, but together.
Where we’re at right now
We’re still early. Systems are being prototyped, the main game loop is coming together, and we’re aiming to have a short demo ready for Steam Next Fest. Nothing huge, just enough to show what the game feels like, the daily work, the pressure, and the possibilities that come from collective action.
