We are very busy and hard at work on the game, and we want the demo to reflect how far we've come already. So get ready for a nice feature update for the demo, bringing it up to date with the latest development status!

Beta Branch Note: These changes are currently available on the beta branch. The beta branch is for testing changes and for finding and fixing errors.

This is how you get access to the beta branch: Right-Click on Aquapark Tycoon Demo in your Steam list, Properties -> Betas -> Select branch 'Beta Branch - Newest Changes'.

Gameplay

  • Added a POV Mode for slides

  • Joy Sparks can now be used to heal injuries and revive guests

  • Improved pollution & decay gameplay of attractions

  • Added more wall & roof objects

  • Added bridges

  • Added water sprayer objects

  • Added basic counter-only versions of all shops & stalls

  • Heating & electricity cost are now communicated separately & clearly

  • Added more terrains for you to build

  • Made guests falling out of slides more realistic

Research

  • Added a Research Tree

  • Investing into research now nets you Research Points

  • Research Points can be used to unlock attractions, shops or themes

Moving Objects

  • Objects can now be moved after they were placed

  • Objects can now be freely rotated as desired

  • Objects can now be freely moved as desired

  • Objects can now be scaled bigger and smaller

Graphics

  • Improved Visuals of Saunas & Pools

  • Added particles to many animations

  • Lots and lots of small visual fixes

  • Improved customization of object colors

  • Added color presets

UI

  • Completely overhauled the entire UI

  • Added configurable UI Scaling

  • Added a new Infusion Mixing UI

  • Sauna benches are now easier to find in the UI

    • (it wasn't a bug, just a little hard to find! Sorry for that and thanks for all the feedback!)

  • Added visualisation for pool areas (swimmer, non-swimmer, fun, wellness, etc.)

  • Added particles for when a pool, sauna or slide improves its score

  • Windows of attractions or characters now show a screenshot of their attraction or character

SFX

  • Added many more sound effects

  • Improved and balanced many existing sound effects

Bugfixes

  • Fixed several crashes

  • Fixed various localisation issues

  • Improved pathing of staff

  • Improved pathing of guests
