About Your Feedback
I’m just a solo indie game dev, so I’m thrilled to hear all your feedback. Back in the demo phase, some players asked for controller support, and I promised I’d do my best to add it. After a week of hard work, it’s finally here! You can check out the new controller guide in the settings menu while playing.
Item pickup filtering was another suggestion from a player, and I thought it was a great idea, so I added it.
I’ve also tried implementing AMD and NVIDIA super-resolution and frame-boosting features. Some players reported crashes with NVIDIA cards, so I’ve added a GPU toggle. Since the game isn’t some massive, epic open-world adventure, I didn’t dive too deep into optimizing this. If you feel the same way I do, you can turn off the GPU toggle and still play smoothly with Unreal Engine 5’s default display mode.
Some players in the test version mentioned that dragging and selling items would fail. I found the bug and fixed it in this update.
A few players suggested having items drop on the ground when opening chests. Honestly, I think it’s better to have them go straight into the inventory if there’s space—saves you from waiting a second in the middle of a zombie horde! But if more of you want ground drops, I’m open to making some changes.
About My Promises
I’ve pretty much delivered on the features I promised for the demo. If anything feels clunky or needs tweaking, just let me know. It’s a chance for me to tackle new tech and make the game smoother for everyone.
Going forward, I’ll aim for updates every one to two weeks, adding little things to the levels that I think are fun. I hope you’ll enjoy fresh challenges and content regularly.
I mentioned in the demo that I’d laid the groundwork for multiplayer. To be honest, I underestimated how tricky it’d be. It’s going to take some serious code reevaluation and tweaking, so it might take a bit longer than expected.
As for new characters, there are two more coming. I promised they won’t be DLC—they’ll be free updates, and I’m working hard to make them feel fresh and unique.
Lastly, about monsters and boss designs, some players recently shared awesome ideas. I’m excited to work on bringing those into the game.
A huge thanks to all the players supporting me. This is my first solo indie game, and I’m committed to keep going and making more fun games. I hope you’ll stick with me and continue supporting my journey!
