Apocalypse ? No ! changes
Update 1.9.0.0 is available, with many bug fixes and overall improvements. Here are the patch notes:
What's New:
The menu has been completely rearranged for easier use. Game mode selection now occurs after selecting a save slot! (This was already available in testing since update 1.8.1.0)
- A new event has appearedthe cemetery is now occasionally entirely occupied by religious fanatics. New NPCs, as well as old ones, make their appearance with new dialogue.
New rendering system: previously the game constantly displayed all objects on a map at the same time, even if they were not visible on the screen; this is no longer the case.
Minor changes:
Most of the maps have been refined again. (Repeating textures have been modified, "ordinary" roofs have been recreated...) A house on the Survivor Camp #2 map has been completely recreated; it now has more detail and a new chest. Areas where rebel NPCs attack you now display a notification and on-screen text warning you that the area is off-limits!
Slime AI has been improved
now, when fleeing, they will revert to a liquid form to regenerate health before attacking the player again.
Zombie AI has been improved
when zombies are shot, they can now be slowed/disrupted or stop walking for a short time. Four new zombie variants are Available
Some zombies can now lose an arm during combat against the player!
Added a sound effect when the player takes damage
Modified some rock collisions so that bullets can pass through them.
The poison effect (a skill unlockable in the skill tree) now displays the damage taken by the creature.
Added a shadow to the golden cucumber item.
Some interfaces have been modified to add information about the keys to use.
Bug fixes:
A bug that forced the mouse coordinates to 0,0 has been fixed.
Fix of a bug that could temporarily freeze the game when the pause menu was open.
Fixed memory leaks related to particles.
Fixed a bug in the dialogue system that displayed encoding characters that should not be visible.
(Please note that many other bugs have been fixed but are not referenced in these patch notes, such as: monsters not taking damage, poorly calibrated collision detection, pathfinding of several mobs, incorrect/repeating NPC dialogue...)
Regarding multiplayer mode:
Greatly improved multiplayer stability!
Time synchronization when joining a part.
