changedI’m malongotemp0, and I’ve been part of Apex Studio (and thus Apex Point) since the very beginning in 2018. I’ve worn several hats, starting as a UI/UX artist and later transitioning to Community Manager (handling social media, which explains my absence from Steam). Today, I manage multiple roles, taking care of both the legal side of the company and the internal development of the game. I believe I’m capable of answering most of your questions regarding the development of Apex Point.
changedWhy the silence? If there’s one thing we’ve learned throughout this journey, it’s that our word matters, and we can’t afford to break it. By limiting the disclosure of the UE5 version’s development, we’re protecting ourselves from making promises we can’t keep and, more importantly, from disappointing YOU—our community. Without you, Apex Point would still be just a folder on Moh’s hard drive. Without you, we wouldn’t have been able to give our team the chance to pursue their dream careers in game development. Without you, Apex Point is nothing, and we’ll always be grateful for the support you regularly provide us.

changedWhy are Apex Studio’s media links inactive? Have you disappeared? Not at all! Several changes occurred, such as the loss of our community status on Discord due to inactivity. As a result, the unique link discord.gg/apexpointjp expired. Additionally (and I take responsibility for this), the Linktree hasn’t been updated for a while.

This is my first time addressing you publicly here on Steam, so let me briefly introduce myself:

I’m malongotemp0, and I’ve been part of Apex Studio (and thus Apex Point) since the very beginning in 2018.

Why the silence?

First, it’s important to understand that game development is a business. Unfortunately, we neglected those aspects of our activity for too long, and we’re now facing the consequences. The studio is in a financially challenging situation due to the majority of our resources being invested in the development on UE5. Additionally, we need to ensure that our employees are fairly compensated, as they’ve been working up to 70 hours per week on this project.

How is development going?

UE5 is an amazing tool that allows us to bring our ideas to life. However, the standards are also higher, requiring an increasingly larger budget. Despite these challenges, development is progressing, and the core of the game is advancing rapidly. We hope to share the results of this work as soon as possible because we believe you’re going to love it. I can’t give more details for now, but we plan to surprise you.

Who makes up the Apex Studio team?

We are now four people working for Apex Studio:

  • Driftmonkey as project lead and art director

  • Rambo as developer

  • malongotemp0 (myself) as developer and business manager

  • erly20 as 3D modeler

What about the Unity version currently available on the store?

The size and budget of Apex Studio don’t allow us to hire an additional developer to maintain the Unity version. Small updates might happen, but we won’t be able to add new content due to time and resource constraints.

Not at all! Several changes occurred, such as the loss of our community status on Discord due to inactivity. As a result, the unique link discord.gg/apexpointjp expired. Additionally (and I take responsibility for this), the Linktree hasn’t been updated for a while.

I will make sure to update the links on the Steam page and the Linktree as well.

Thank you all for your support. You’ve changed my life, you’ve changed our lives, and we hope to give back as much as we can by delivering the best possible version of Apex Point. Thank you for believing in us.
