fixedIt's here! The biggest update to Anthropomachy so far! With this update we are releasing a complete new Skepticism system as some other smaller changes and bug fixes that you guys reported since the start of the Early Access period. Here's the complete rundown of what we've changed: - New Events/Skepticism system - Added 31 Steam Achievements - After converting a country, a preacher is sent to a neighboring nation - Added text to inform current levels of conversion and skepticism on their respective bars - Updated the Tutorial to explain the new mechanics - Fix allowing native fullscreen support on older monitors - Fixed bug that allowed countries to have over 5000 conversion - Fixed bug that allowed traits to be upgraded above 99% on certain situations - Fixed bug that lost the game with faith under 100 (you'll lose if your faith goes lower than 50) - Changed purchase cost of certain abilities - Added an Early Access banner to main menu - General performance enhancements As we've mentioned in our last post , Skepticism is no longer affected by news and will be controlled by your decisions when events pop up. Your decision-making skills will either give you great bonuses or doom your conquering effort. Consecutive errors when casting powers will also add to people's skepticism of you, so be careful.
addedOne important aspect is that because of this new feature, old save files WILL NOT WORK properly and should NOT be used from now on. After you successfully convert a country, you'll gain a new preacher that will automatically be sent to a neighboring country.
addedIn order to help you understand better what you need to convert a country and how close to losing you may be, we added some auxiliary text above the conversion and skepticism bars. Please notice that countries conversion will only go up to 5000 while skepticism goes to 30000.
addedWe have also added 31 Steam Achievements to the game, although those were already showing on our store page since we started testing. Let's see who'll be able to unlock them all.
addedWe also updated the tutorial to explain the new mechanics and fix some texts that you felt were not clear enough. If you already went through the tutorial, you'll need to go to Options and disable the "Hide Tutorial" checkbox in order to see the tutorial again. And we added this awesome new banner to our main menu so it becomes even easier for your guys to send us your feedback here on Steam.
changedWe're not done yet. On the coming weeks we'll also show you guys some more changes we're making to gameplay and we're sure you'll love it. As always, keep supporting Anthropomachy and please send us your feedback. Most of what we're fixing today came from your thoughts after playing it. We know the game still needs more improvements to reach its full potential and we count on you to help us out making Anthropomachy a great game. See you soon!
