changedWhat if there was a way to reconnect with the part of us that still sees wonder in small things?
changedAs development continued, our conversations weren't only about game systems — they were about life. We realized that everyone faces challenges as they grow: staying connected to friends, finding balance between work and life, or simply keeping space for joy. We wanted to create a game that offers a gentle refuge — a space to slow down, recharge, and rediscover delight in the small and meaningful details of everyday life.

We are LilliLandia Games, the development team behind Animula Nook. Since this is our very first project as a studio, we'd like to share why it matters to us — and hopefully, to you as well.

Many of us share a familiar memory: sitting at a desk on a lazy weekend or summer afternoon, staring at homework or a book, while our thoughts drifted to the cartoons we had just been watching. Sometimes we wished a cat or dog would keep us company. Sometimes we imagined stepping into those worlds of heroes and magic, where even ordinary objects — a pencil sharpener, a notebook, a toy — could become part of a tiny world of adventure, free from stress or pressure.

One late night at work, someone on our team brought up that memory. It sparked a conversation about the cartoons we loved, the games and stories that shaped our imagination, and the little joys of daily life. For a while, the exhaustion of the day faded, and we found ourselves smiling again, like rediscovering a forgotten part of ourselves.

"I feel like I don't notice the small things anymore. My desk used to be full of little trinkets — now it's just a computer, a cup, a phone. I've become a tired and boring adult. I don't even have time to play with my cat when I get home."

"That reminds me of the black cat that used to wait for me downstairs. I'd play with it whenever I didn't want to sit at my desk. One day it disappeared, and never came back."

That night we asked ourselves:

  • What if we could revisit those moments of imagination?

  • What if there was a way to reconnect with the part of us that still sees wonder in small things?

  • Or, in a more whimsical thought — what if we could shrink down and see the world in miniature?

That was the seed of Animula Nook.

As development continued, our conversations weren't only about game systems — they were about life. We realized that everyone faces challenges as they grow: staying connected to friends, finding balance between work and life, or simply keeping space for joy. We wanted to create a game that offers a gentle refuge — a space to slow down, recharge, and rediscover delight in the small and meaningful details of everyday life.

And we thought: what better starting point than your own desk — the place you see every day — becoming the gateway into a miniature world of your own?

In this world, ordinary details can turn into extraordinary memories. The smallest things can tell the biggest stories. Animula Nook is about finding joy in little wonders and writing your own story — freely, in your own rhythm.

Thank you for being here with us on this journey. We've poured our hearts into building this little world, and we hope to welcome you into it very soon.
