ANGST: A TALE OF SURVIVAL changes
What a week! The ANGST demo is finally out there, and you’re playing it. Watching streams, reading comments, and seeing people explore The Hopeward Hollow for the first time has been surreal.
We just want to say thank you! Your feedback has been great. We’ve been reading every post, every message, and every review, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the support. It’s honestly humbling to see so many people care about this strange, cold world we’ve built.
Below is a quick overview of what we’ve gathered from your feedback so far and what we’re already addressing for the full version of the game:
Localizations in 9 languages
Storage balance – you’ll be able to stack more
Tool durability and difficulty tuning – smoother progression and more forgiving balance
Combat – improvements coming
Objectives – displayed directly on-screen to make the flow clearer
Resource persistence – the items stored in the backpack will be dropped after death to be found later, and resources will slowly respawn over time
Widescreen / ultrawide monitor support (and overall resolution fixes)
Settings menu – yes, it’s coming!
We are looking into:
Key binding options
Camera improvements
NOTE! The above is based only on your feedback from the demo. The full version of ANGST will include much more, such as:
* a big map
* many more story characters
* many more resources and crafts
* …and loads of other improvements all over!
A few of you shared great suggestions that we thought might be worth clarifying or expanding on. Here are some tips:
Fire inside the house: in the full game, try repairing the stove in any of the cabins you find on the map = Stay warm and cook indoors.
Longer-lasting fires: in the full game, you’ll unlock crafts for more advanced campfires that burn longer and provide better heat.
Waypoints and navigation: by placing a waypoint on the map, you enable a subtle compass next to the map button on the main screen, pointing toward your active waypoint.
We’re a small team, but we’re doing everything we can to make the full release worth the wait. Your feedback keeps us grounded and motivated! If you haven’t yet, please consider leaving a review or adding the full game to your wishlist.
Thank you again for being part of this journey. Stay warm out there.
